| Since the reform and opening up,China’s rural agricultural economy has made brilliant achievements, but the long-term crude factor input growth model of traditional agriculture will eventually lead to serious resource consumption and increased ecological pollution, hindering the sustainable development of China’s agricultural industry. The Chinese government has been advocating a green transformation of agricultural production in order to break through the dilemma of the increasing destruction of the natural environment caused by crude agricultural production.Improving AGTFP is an important way to promote the green and sustainable development of agriculture.By constructing a sound theoretical analysis system of agricultural green total factor productivity,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to promote the greening of agricultural production, the transformation of agricultural production modernisation, the realisation of green, coordinated and sustainable development of agricultural production and the improvement of the relationship between human beings and nature. As a major national strategic development region in China, the Yangtze River Economic Belt accounts for about 41% of the country’s agricultural GDP,so it is of great significance to explore the development pattern and influencing factors of AGTFP in the Yangtze River Economic Belt in order to promote green agricultural production nationwide. In view of this, this paper uses the panel data of 121 prefecture-level cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt from 2000 to 2019 as a sample, and conducts an in-depth analysis of the core issues of AGTFP in the Yangtze River Economic Belt. Then,to explore the characteristics of regional differentiation and spatial dynamics,a regional differentiation analysis of agricultural green total factor productivity was conducted;finally, based on the theoretical analysis, the influencing factors of agricultural green total factor productivity were screened out and regression analysis of the influencing factors was conducted through a spatial Durbin model. The study found that:(1)the average annual growth of agricultural green total factor productivity in the Yangtze River Economic Belt is 2.74%,and the source of agricultural green total factor growth in the Yangtze River Economic Belt is mainly AGTC.By region, the trends of AGTFP,AGEC and AGTC in all regions of the Yangtze River Economic Belt are nearly consistent.(2)Agricultural green total factor productivity in the Yangtze River Economic Zone has a significant positive spatial correlation, and there is a distinctive "club convergence" in agricultural green total factor productivity, with "neighbor as good" and "neighbor as beggar".(3)On the whole, the green total factor productivity of agriculture has a strong "club convergence" and there is a "neighbor as good" and "neighbor as beggar" situation.(3)On the whole, the regional gap in agricultural green TFP in the Yangtze River Economic Zone is gradually widening.(4)The level of economic development, the level of agricultural development and the degree of urbanisation development are the core driving sources of AGTFP,while the degree of industrialisation and agricultural policies are the "shortcomings" that restrict the improvement of AGTFP.Based on the above findings,we propose policy recommendations to improve AGTFP and accelerate the transformation of agriculture to green production by promoting the transformation of agricultural development, attaching importance to the cultivation of rural human resources, improving the green-oriented financial support policy system for agriculture, and promoting the development of agricultural production on a larger scale. |
