| At present,the international situation is complex and volatile,natural disasters and public security incidents are frequent,especially the new epidemic caused a sustained impact on the global economy,China’s economic development is facing a contraction in demand,supply shocks,expectations of the weakening of the "three overlapping" impact continues to deepen,economic downward pressure has increased,economic resilience has become the new era of China’s response to the crisis and Economic resilience has become an important element of China’s response to the crisis and high-quality economic development in the new era.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the measurement method of economic resilience,to scientifically measure the level of economic resilience of China as a whole,the three regions,provinces and cities,and to analyze its current situation,spatial characteristics and convergence,in order to enhance the level of economic resilience of each region,to balance the differences in economic resilience development between regions,and to achieve high-quality economic development.The research content of this paper mainly includes: firstly,systematically sorting out the theoretical basis of economic toughness and related literature;secondly,based on relevant theories and research results,combining with the current development situation of China,constructing China’s economic toughness evaluation index system and using entropy value method to comprehensively evaluate the economic toughness of 31 provinces in China from 2010 to 2020;then,based on the evaluation results,through Arc GIS visualization,Dagum Gini coefficient and its decomposition method,standard deviation ellipse and social network analysis methods to reveal the spatial differences,spatial evolution and spatial correlation characteristics of China’s economic toughness;finally,the beta convergence model is applied to judge the convergence trend of China’s economic toughness,and corresponding research insights are obtained accordingly.The conclusions of the study show that:(1)China’s economic resilience level shows an obvious rising trend during the sample period,but there is still a large development potential.There is a big difference in the level of economic resilience among regions,showing the development trend of "eastern region >central region > western region",which is consistent with China’s economic development level.(2)China’s economic resilience is characterized by significant spatial non-equilibrium,and inter-regional differences are the main source of variation in China’s overall economic resilience.According to the standard deviation ellipse results,the center of gravity of China’s economic resilience as a whole maintains the trend of moving southward,and the development momentum of economic resilience in the southern region is stronger than that in the northern region,and China’s economic resilience shows a distribution pattern dominated by the "northeast-southwest" direction,and further clusters in space.From the perspective of spatial correlation characteristics,China’s economic resilience shows complex spatial network correlation characteristics,and economically developed provinces such as Guangdong,Shandong and Jiangsu play the role of central actor and intermediary communicator in the spatial correlation network of economic resilience,and the "core-edge" characteristics of the spatial correlation network are significant.(3)Whether or not spatial effects are considered,there is a significant absolute β convergence trend of economic resilience for the whole country and the three regions,and a significant conditional βconvergence trend of economic resilience for the whole country and the three regions after considering various economic and social factors.Based on the corresponding findings,this paper proposes research implications for enhancing China’s economic resilience,with the hope of providing economic lessons for China to achieve high-quality development. |
