Abstract/Summary:
Water resources are the foundation, precursor and controlling factor of economic and social development, and the size of water resources carrying capacity is directly related to the growth space of economic and social development. In the new development stage of China, there is a higher demand for the development and utilization of water resources, and the study of water resources carrying capacity comes into being.Dandong City has 3537 cubic meters of water resources per capita, which is 1.6 times the national average and 4.3 times the provincial average. It has unique resource advantages and is known as the ’ water capital ’ of Liaoning and even the northeast region. However, its spatial and temporal distribution is uneven.Except for individual wet years, the total amount of water resources in normal years shows a decreasing trend year by year.At present, there are engineering water shortage and water quality safety risks in Dandong urban water supply sources, and the single problem of water resources allocation pattern is becoming more and more prominent. In order to build a unified management and optimal allocation of water supply system as soon as possible, the research has used the data of Dandong City from 2011 to2020,and has used the previous experience results and according to the actual situation of Dandong City. The DPSIR evaluation index system has been selected according to different subsystems. The entropy weight method has been used to weight, and the improved TOPSIS algorithm has been used to comprehensively evaluate the water resources carrying capacity. The main obstacle factors have been sorted. On this basis, the problems in the development and utilization of water resources in Dandong City have been identified, and optimization countermeasures have been proposed for the problems. The results of the research have been obtained include :In 2011-2020,the water resources carrying capacity of Dandong City has been in the level of II to III,that is,between critical and weak loadable. In a few years,it shows the level of loadable or overloaded. The water resources carrying capacity of Dandong City has increased first and then decreased in the past ten years. After a substantial increase,a substantial decline, and finally a slow upward trend, the water resources pressure situation is still severe. From the perspective of obstacle factors,in the past 10 years, the comprehensive water supply production capacity of Dandong City has an important impact on its water resources carrying capacity.Except for 2018,the degree of obstacle is more than 50 %.The comprehensive production capacity of water supply is a major strategic resource for water supply enterprises and an important guarantee of water supply security. In recent years, with the rapid development of economy and society, the relationship between supply and demand of water resources in Dandong City has become increasingly tense. The problem of water supply has affected people ’s living standards and social stability.Although the total amount of water resources in Dandong is relatively abundant, there are still certain shortcomings from reaching the goal of sustainable development, and water supply, utilization and ecological environment need to be improved.Specifically, there are already loopholes in water supply facilities, groundwater exploitation, industrial and agricultural water use and sewage discharge. In response to the above problems, this study has put forward the corresponding optimal allocation measures. There is an urgent need to enhance water supply capacity, improve water utilization efficiency and promote water ecological environmental protection in order to further improve the water carrying capacity level of Dandong City.
