Negative corona discharge plays an indispensable role in large-scale industrial applications.There is a special discharge phenomenon called the Trichel pulse,whose electrical characteristics and unique phenomenon can be affected by various factors,such as temperature and humidity.To better understand the intrinsic mechanism of the Trichel pulse and negative corona discharge,this paper investigates the correlation between the Trichel pulse and various complex factors and studies the factors that may affect the Trichel pulse phenomenon from two aspects: external smoke environment and internal electrical characteristics,through modeling-simulation-numerical simulation,to lay a certain foundation for further exploration of the Trichel pulse applied to sensor technology.The basis for further exploration of applying the Trichel pulse to sensor technology is laid.Specific related work is summarized as follows:(1)Analyze the mechanism and discharge process of the Trichel pulse,analyse different mathematical models,improve on the traditional model,and propose an improved mathematical model of the Trichel pulse for complex smoke environments,including the improvement ideas and improvement process,and finally provide a summary of this chapter.(2)To study the effect of the external smoke environment on the characteristics of the Trichel pulse.The simulation study of the Trichel pulse is carried out to analyse the particle variation in different factors(temperature and humidity,gas composition)in the smog environment.Specifically,the COMSOL software and Bolsig+ software are used in combination to conduct simulation studies,in which,for the temperature and humidity influencing factors,the model is simulated directly using COMSOL software: for the different gas composition influencing factors,the discharge parameters under different gas compositions are first calculated using Bolsig+ software,and then the model is simulated using COMSOL software on this basis.The results show that the increase in temperature and the decrease of carbon dioxide content will increase the amplitude and frequency of the Trichel pulse,and the reduction of humidity and oxygen content will decrease the amplitude and frequency of the Trichel pulse.(3)To study the effect of internal electrical characteristics on the characteristics of the Trichel pulse.The results show that the increase in voltage increases the amplitude and frequency of the Trichel pulse,and the results are analysed to lay a theoretical foundation for the expansion of the Trichel pulse in the sensor field.Finally,the current work is summarised,and the future research is proposed.
