Study On The Construction Of Historic Urban Landscape Mapping In Qingdao Near Coastline Area

The Historic Urban Landscape(HUL),published and implemented by UNESCO in 2011,is a representative World Heritage concept and methodology.With the accelerated construction schedule of digital cities,the practices and methodologies of digital historic urban landscape are changing rapidly around the world.One of the goals and directions of the digital historic urban landscape agenda is to build a database of urban heritage elements(including tangible and intangible heritage)covering all elements of the historic urban landscape and the whole life cycle of urban heritage,and to realize the basic functions of querying,editing and analyzing all elements of urban heritage.Guided by the concept and theory of urban historic landscape and based on the technical method of knowledge mapping,the systematic organization and summarization of the whole elements of urban heritage in longitudinal and spatial dimensions is the prerequisite for the construction of the database/digital platform of urban historic landscape.Based on the unique geographical environment and the typical landscape characteristics of "mountain,sea and city" in the historical city of Qingdao,this paper uses the existing rich historical maps as the data source,and tries to explore the urban historical landscape with the characteristics of coastal and mountainous areas through the technical means of geographic alignment of historical maps,landscape element identification and geographic entity matching.The article is divided into three main parts.The article is divided into three major parts.The first part builds the preliminary preparation and framework of the study,including chapters 1 and 2,which mainly focus on the research background,purpose and significance,related concepts and research scope,as well as the research methodology and domestic and international review sections.The progress of digital city research and the current status and needs of digital urban historic landscape are introduced to clarify the necessity of urban historic landscape mapping construction.The main concepts of urban historical landscape,mapping,and historical map related to the topic of this paper are clarified,and on this basis,the technical route and main research methods of this paper are clarified.The second part contains chapters 3 and 4.The technical means and logic of the construction of urban historical landscape mapping are briefly described,and the historical landscape of Qingdao’s near coastline area is interpreted through the information mining of historical maps and the interpretation of historical materials.The elements in the map are divided and sorted out according to the two main clues of anchorage points and laminated areas,and then combined with the background environment of Qingdao as a coastal mountain city and the elements of urban historical landscape,the framework of urban historical landscape mapping is proposed based on the regional characteristics of Qingdao’s local mountain and sea landscape.On this basis,the logic of urban historical landscape mapping is presented with the three main themes of park green space,road network and historical architecture;at the same time,the mapping framework of all elements of urban historical landscape is presented with the Badaguan historical and cultural district as the scope of the plot.The third part is Chapter 5.Combining with the current heritage conservation situation and the demands of the heritage application of Qingdao’s historical and cultural city,the practical utility and effect of the mapping of Qingdao’s urban historical landscape constructed in this paper are initially tested.Specifically,taking the reasonableness of the boundary demarcation of the historic and cultural district of Baguanshan as an example,the rationalization suggestions are put forward in the light of the current situation and problems of Qingdao’s heritage application work.It is proved that a perfect urban historical landscape map and the construction of further urban historical landscape database in the future can provide the support of corresponding strict and reasonable data base for heritage value assessment and practical management of different urban heritage elements,and connect with the current data platforms such as city information model platform(CIM)to make up for the lack of historical dimension in the current digital city information database.It can also be used to assist the future management practice of heritage boundary delineation and heritage dynamic tracking.
