| The climate of earth has changed significantly thanks in part to human activity.Climate change has attracted extensive attention from governments, research sector, and the general public. For one thing,it may bring many disastrous events to ecological system and social economic development.Agricultural sector, which is highly dependent on climate condition, faces many development issues against the background of climate change. For China,a country with vast population and limited arable land, maintaining the steady growth of agricultural production, and ensuring food security for the country, secure supply of staple in particular, has been a core goal of China’s agricultural policies. The development of agricultural sector has undergone structural changes across regions,as China’s economic landscape continues to evolve.Fujian province, one of the coastal provinces that lead economic development, has transformed from a major food production area into a major consumption area.Maintaining the steady growth of agricultural production,in particular that of key crops,in Fujian province and other major consumption areas bears major strategic significance to ensuring security of agricultural production and growth of crops.Given the global climate change, agricultural production in Fujian province faces intensifying risk of climate disaster, which brings major impact and challenge to security of agricultural production. As such, given the intensifying trend of climate change, studying the impact of climate change on agricultural production is much relevant today. This thesis was carried out with a focus on Yong Ding district of Long Yan municipality.Meteorological datafrom 2011 to 2020,covering temperature, hours with sun-light,and volume of rainfall, and data on agricultural production,in the districtin recent years were gathered.By applying climate statistics method, and running regressive analysis and numerical analogous analysis, afforded by EXCEL and SPSS software,it summarized in a systematic way the characteristics and pattern of climate change, and details and trend of fluctuation to agricultural production in this district over the past decade. In combination of measuring the changes in climate productivity in this district across areas and over time, with meteorological factors as input including temperature and rainfall, the actual effect of climate change is further studied. From the perspective of promoting agricultural production and responding to climate change,it puts forward adaptation proposals targeting existing issues, covering improving crop mix through adjusting farming system, promoting the development of agricultural production with scientific and technological advances, protecting ecological environment including making greater effort in soil and water conservation, promoting the development of agricultural production by strengthening construction of infrastructure, providing better meteorological service for agricultural sector, strengthening capacity for disaster prevention and relief for agricultural sector, and enhancing weather modification capacity, among other measures,to provide guidance to making a better use of climate resources and improving agricultural production in this district. |
