The water sensitivity of the reservoir refers to the phenomenon that the external water incompatible with the formation water flows through the formation, causing the clay minerals absorb water to expand, disperse, and migrate, resulting in the plugging of the reservoir pores and the decrease in the permeability of the reservoir. If the reservoir has water-sensitive problem,it is difficult to inject water into the formation during water injection development, which will increase the difficulty of exploitation. Therefore, quantitatively evaluating the water sensitivity of reservoirs and clarifying the distribution characteristics of water sensitivity in reservoirs has important guiding significance for reservoir development. This study takes the glutenite of Lower Karamay Formation in530 well area of District 8 of the Karamay oilfield as the main research object.Comprehensive use of core analysis data such as X-ray diffraction and logging data such as natural gamma, sonic time difference, compensated neutron, density, etc.,use linear regression and BP neural network to quantitatively interpret the content of clay minerals and water-sensitive index, and then the water-sensitive intensity was divided. The results show that the linear regression methods are not sensitive enough to outliers, and their applicability is not strong. The interpretation method based on BP neural network has strong stability, high accuracy and certain applicability. It is the best method for the interpretation of clay minerals and water-sensitive index in the study area.
