Design Of Household Products Based On Orange Peels

In the context of global calls for carbon reduction and circular economy,more and more designers are involved in material research to seek the possibility of new design.A considerable part of biomass is natural polymer materials,such as cellulose,protein and natural rubber.Cotton,silk and hemp,which people often deal with in life,are biological materials,which are also the most widely used biological materials;Citrus peel is also a biomaterial,but its utilization is far from enough.Based on citrus peel materials,combined with material driven innovative design methods,this paper discusses the utilization ways,molding exploration and how to apply citrus peel materials to household products from the perspective of design and application;Carry out design practice,and summarize and analyze the design practice process.The analysis benchmark includes three dimensions:product feasibility,sustainability and user experience feedback;Finally,it summarizes the design of household products represented by citrus peel materials.This subject verifies the feasibility of applying citrus peel materials to household products.On this basis,citrus peel materials are combined with design performance,and different series of household products are formed in the process of design practice;The advantages and disadvantages of different forms are analyzed and the applicable scenarios are described.
