"Ocean Element" In Modern Jewelry Design With Research

The ocean has always been regarded as the cradle of life.It not only harbors a variety of Marine creatures,but also contains rich and diverse natural resources,influencing the evolution of human beings and the development of culture.The interaction between human beings’ understanding,utilization and transformation of the ocean has formed a unique Marine culture.Marine culture has been around forever,and there are still folk activities and jewelry art that reflect the connotation of Marine culture in modern life.At present,with the evolution and development of Marine culture,"Marine elements" provide new themes and design ideas for modern jewelry design.This paper takes "Ocean element" jewelry design as the research object,combines literature,folklore,art and other disciplines theories to conduct in-depth research and analysis on "Ocean element" jewelry design,and then creates relevant design art works.Firstly,the concept of Marine element symbols is defined and classified by referring to relevant works,papers,conferences and other research results and collecting a large amount of literature and materials.Based on the phenomenon of decorative art under the influence of relevant folk culture,this paper analyzes the spatial relationship of "Marine element" jewelry in decorative culture classification,and applies these theoretical bases to the extraction process of Marine element.Secondly,through the combination of jewelry and Marine elements,the evolution and technological development of "Marine elements" jewelry design are analyzed.By exploring the application of Marine elements in modern jewelry,the design methods and materials are summarized and applied to jewelry creation.Finally,turning the idea into practice,and Marine elements are taken as the theme to grasp the design form,color,texture,material,production method and related technology and other factors,and the Marine culture is embodied in the series of works "The SEA".Through "The SEA—living","The SEA—tide","The SEA—dangerous","The SEA—harmonious" respectively said that the restless,choppy,in danger,the crowd and Ming,create both practical value and aesthetic value of modern jewelry works.I hope that through the marketing of this series of products,the unique charm of the ocean can be shown to more people and people’s thinking about the relationship between human and nature can be aroused.
