In recent years,influenced by a mix of the China-US trade war and Covid-19,U Manufacturing Company has gradually transferred the finished products assembly plants to Southeast Asia and South America.But its supply chain still depends on China,making the original supplier quality management process can not fit the current development request.The supplier quality concerns to the finished goods quality,delivery,cost and customer satisfaction,and impacts the enterprise brand reputation and market share.There are many problems in the silicone supplier quality management of U Company.It has extremely impeded the development of U Company.Against this background,this research applies relevant supplier quality management theories,and takes corresponding effective corrective actions to solve the existed problem.Making efforts to find out improved plan for silicon supplier quality management of U company,the research will lead the company to enhance the market occupancy and maintain the industry competitive advantage.This study takes U Manufacturing Company as the research object.First,apply the supplier quality management theory to analyze the current situation of the silicon supplier management of U Company,finding out the problems from 5aspects concerning the silicon supplier quality management organization,the quality system audit,the process audit,the production approval and engineering change and performance evaluation.Then use questionnaire,5 tools,Delphi and AHP method and typical cases to analyze the root cause of the problems.At last,provide the corrective actions and the supporting measures as well as the expecting effect.Conclusion by this research,U Company has to improve from the 5 aspects.Firstly,adjust the organization structure,and incorporate IQC into SQM.At the meanwhile,adjust their management functions to solve the disagreements and buck-packing caused by unclear rights and liabilities specification.Secondly,promote the audit skills of SQE through some HR management methods,cultivate the quality mindset of suppliers,and sign the quality audit penalties and rewards agreement.Thirdly,use VDA6.3 process audit method and update the audit check list to improve the audit rating which could not present the supplier process management problems.Fourthly,use the 5 tools of quality management and sign a 4M change management agreement to fix the problems.Finally,use Delphi and AHP to improve the unclear and partial performance indicators,and to solve subjective weight allocation issues.Most of the current researches of supplier quality management focus on the auto industry.On the contrary,there are less studies on the electronics manufacturing and few on silicon suppliers.This research aims to give useful reference to the similar enterprises at supplier quality management.
