The commutator is one of the key components of the motor. The commutator segment is manufactured with the participation of the die.Due to the high life expectancy of the commutator die,the wear resistance of the commutator die is required.improvement.Therefore,it is necessary to focus on improving and optimizing the stamping die of the commutator segment. In this paper, the stamping die of the commutator segment is optimized from the two perspectives of the stamping die process and the heat treatment of the die material(Cr12Mo V steel).First of all, based on the aspect of stamping die technology, this paper uses the CAE finite element analysis method, based on the Lagrange incremental method and Archard wear theory, adopts the simulation progressive method to simulate the progressive die blanking process, and obtains the equivalent stress and velocity of the sheet metal.Data such as field, die blanking load and wear amount are analyzed and analyzed. The influence of die hardness and blanking clearance on die wear was analyzed based on single factor. The results show that: within a certain range, the hardness of the die increases and the wear of the die decreases;while the relationship between the die gap and the wear of the die is different, the wear of punch 1 decreases first and then increases with the increase of the gap, while the punch 2 and punch 3 increase with the gap,and the wear amount decreases. And in order to get the best process parameters of stamping, orthogonal test was designed to analyze the influence of punching speed, die clearance, friction coefficient and die hardness on die wear. The life of the optimized mold is analyzed, and it is concluded that the mold can be used 25 w times.Secondly,it is based on the aspect of heat treatment of mold material. The influence of multiple tempering on the mold material was analyzed, and it was found that with the increase of tempering times, the hardness decreased and the wear resistance decreased. And comparing the effect of cryogenic treatment on Cr12 Mo V steel,it shows that cryogenic treatment is a method to improve the wear resistance of steel. In order to further explore the effect of cryogenic treatment time and sequence on the mold material Cr12 Mo V steel. The study found that compared with conventional heat treatment, cryogenic cooling for 24 h had the best effect, and the wear loss of 10 min wear decreased by 62.7%.It was concluded that cryogenic cooling immediately after quenching improved the wear effect the most.
