| Simulation of real smoking situations,the use of experimental boxes to simulate smoking behavior intermittent smoking mainstream smoke,sidestream smoke continued to produce the situation.Simultaneous sampling of PM2.5in the main and side stream smoke of a variety of cigarettes using a mini-atmosphere sampler Quantitative calculation of emission factors and component profiles of PM2.5and its chemical components(carbon fraction,water-soluble ions and metal elements)in the main and side stream smoke of 19 cigarettes of 6 different brands.The effect of cigarette sidestream smoke on indoor secondary fine particle generation was investigated based on the comparison of chemical component profiles in PM2.5from primary sidestream and 2 h agingsidestream smoke.1.Results of emission factors for main and side stream smoke PM2.5and its chemical fractions from cigarettes.(1)Organic carbon(OC)and elemental carbon(EC)are important carbon components in PM2.5of cigarette main and side stream smoke.Na+is the main water-soluble ion in cigarette main and side stream smoke PM2.5,and V is the main heavy metal element in cigarette main and side stream smoke PM2.5.OC and EC emission factors in PM2.5of mainstream smoke are higher than those of sidestream smoke.(2)PM2.5and chemical component emissions from mainstream smoke of different brands/models of cigarettes vary greatly There are differences in PM2.5and chemical component emissions between the main and side stream smoke of the same cigarette,the difference in PM2.5and chemical component emission factors of the main stream smoke is higher than that of the side stream smoke ranging from 5.35-12.64 times.The difference between the main and side stream SO42-is especially significant,SO42-is not detected in the PM2.5of side stream smoke.2.Chemical component spectrum in PM2.5of main and side stream cigarette smoke(1)Overall,water-soluble ions and heavy metal elements are the major components of PM2.5in mainstream cigarette smoke,carbon fraction,water-soluble ions and heavy metal elements are the main components in the PM2.5of cigarette sidestream smoke.(2)The characteristic carbon fractions in the main and sidestream smoke PM2.5of cigarettes were OC1,OC2,OC3.The carbon fractions in the main and sidestream smoke of cigarettes of different brands and the same brand varied significantly,the characteristic carbon fractions in the mainstream smoke of N cigarettes were OC1,OC2,OC3,the characteristic carbon fractions in the sidestream smoke were OC1,OC2,OC3,EC1.the main and sidestream smoke of cigarettes of the ratio of OC to TC in PM2.5was biger than the ratio of EC to TC.(3)Na+and Cl-are the characteristic water-soluble ion components in PM2.5of mainstream cigarette smoke,Na+,NO3-and Cl-are the characteristic water-soluble ion components in PM2.5of mainstream cigarette smoke.The distribution of water-soluble ions in PM2.5of main and sidestream smoke of different cigarette brands differed significantly.The difference between main and side stream SO42-was particularly significant,and SO42-was not detected in side stream smoke PM2.5.(4)V and As are the characteristic heavy metal element fractions in PM2.5of mainstream cigarette smoke.V,As and Zn are the characteristic heavy metal element fractions in PM2.5of sidestream cigarette smoke.There are differences in the distribution of characteristic heavy metal elements in PM2.5in mainstream smoke of different brands/models of cigarettes.3.The effect of cigarette sidestream smoke on indoor secondary fine particle generationComparison of the mass concentrations of heavy elements in PM2.5of primary sidestream smoke of cigarettes and 2 h aging sidestream smoke showed that heavy elements in PM2.5settled in 2 h,but the settling rate was not completely consistent.From the primary sidestream smoke of cigarettes to the 2 h aging sidestream smoke,about 95%of the samples showed that the decay rate of OC was less than that of heavy metals,which reflected the generation of secondary organic aerosol particles in the 2 h aging sidestream smoke.SO42-was not detected in PM2.5of primary sidestream smoke from cigarettes,while SO42-was detected in 2 h aging sidestream smoke,reflecting the secondary production of SO42-. |
