Construction industry as one of the pillar industries of China’s economy,its high-quality development also brings security risks that can not be ignored.Construction workers’ unsafe behaviors are the main cause of safety accidents in construction industry.Therefore,in order to better improve the current situation of safety management in the construction industry and reduce the occurrence of safety accidents,this study firstly takes construction workers as the research object,and constructs a theoretical model from the perspective of work family bi-directional conflict on construction workers’ unsafe behaviors based on the objective reality background and existing research literature.Secondly,the research data were collected by questionnaire survey method.Thirdly,empirical analysis was conducted on 368 valid samples based on SPSS25.0 and AMOS24.0 software through hierarchical regression method to test the influence mechanism of work family bi-directional conflict on construction workers’ unsafe behaviors.Finally,based on fs QCA3.0 software,the antecedent histories triggering construction workers’ unsafe behaviors were explored by the fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis method.Accordingly,relevant management strategies are proposed.The main findings of this study are as follows:(1)Empirically test the mechanism of work family bi-directional conflict on construction workers’ unsafe behaviors.Firstly,work family bi-directional conflict has a significant positive impact on construction workers’ unsafe behaviors,and work-family conflict has a greater impact.Secondly,emotional exhaustion plays a partial mediating role between work family bi-directional conflict and construction workers’ unsafe behaviors.In addition,organizational support negatively moderated the relationship between family-work conflict and emotional exhaustion,and further moderated the mediating effect of "family-work conflict→emotional exhaustion→unsafe behavior".Finally,family support negatively moderated the relationship between work-family conflict and emotional exhaustion,and further moderated the mediating effect of "work-family conflict→emotional exhaustion→unsafe behavior".(2)The antecedent configuration that triggers construction workers’ unsafe behaviors was explored.This paper uses fs QCA3.0 software and fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis method to configuration the causes of construction workers’ unsafe behaviors.The results show that there are three types of antecedent configuration that trigger construction workers’ unsafe behaviors,among which mode one has two sub-modes,that is,there are four equivalent paths that can trigger construction workers’ unsafe behaviors.(3)Proposed construction workers safety management countermeasures.On the basis of implementing differentiated management and improving workers’ educational level,effectively controlling the occurrence of work family bi-directional conflict,supplementing workers’ emotional resources,and strengthening organizational support and family support for workers can effectively reduce the probability of construction workers’ unsafe behaviors and reduce the occurrence of safety accidents.There are 14 figures,52 tables and 189 references in this paper.
