Zao Linhetan Site is one of the contents of the Ancient Bin Area.In the past,it was concentrated in classifications of unearthed remains,and was short on the analysis of the pottery,which hindered deeper understandings to some extent.It is of great significance to disclose regional pottery technologies,and can further enrich the cultural connotation of archaeology such as the cultural of the Jing River Basin.This paper is mainly divided into five chapters.Chapter one is an introduction of Zaolinhetan Site,research contents,research methods and the significance of the study.The second chapter,on the bases of the potteries in Zaulinhetan Site,it analyzes and summarizes the main characteristics of potteries with traditional observation,microtests and imitation procedure.In this site,the majority of samples are made by hand,including clay-strip building method,clay-slices building method,moulding,kneading,and few wheel manufacturing methods,which depends fewly on tools.In Chapter third,the raw material of the pottery excavated from the site is ordinary fusible clay made of local materials,and the firing environment is mainly based on reducing atmospheres,which has standardized characteristics.In addition to the common coarse sand,fine sand and pottery powder,there are also wood ashes and animal bones.Chapter 4,the simulation experiment uses the largest number of Li pot as a typical restoration of the production process,sequentially,confirming the relevant conjectures in fundamental researches.The fifth Chapter is compares of research conclusions above with various archaeological cultures,the preliminary analysis shows that the pottery-making process of Shang and Zhou Dynasties at the Zaolinhetan Site is based on the cultural factors of the Zhengjiapo-Sun family factors,and is deeply transformed from the cultural factors of the Liu family ――Nianzipo system in the south,and the age is in the transition period between Shang and Zhou Dynasty,and the cultural characteristics have rich similarities with the Nianzipo Culture.Finally,the concluding section summarizes the conclusions of the article.
