In the new era,China attaches more importance to the construction of ecological civilization, and economic development takes into account the dual objectives of "optimizing the environment" and "stabilizing growth".The report of the 19th Party Congress proposes to "establish a sound economic system of green,low-carbon and cyclic development",which points out the direction for China’s high-quality development under the new historical conditions. The report of the 20th CPC National Congress has comprehensively elaborated and arranged for this, indicating that on the basis of the "double carbon" target, the key to respond to the new situation and achieve high-quality development is to transform to green and low-carbon.The transition to a low-carbon economy cannot be achieved without financial support, and green credit can provide financing facilities for enterprises, which is an indispensable and necessary means for them to achieve low-carbon transition. From the reality, how to accurately measure and evaluate the objective law between green credit and low-carbon economy, build green credit and then drive the regional low-carbon economic transformation, and solve the regional imbalance among provinces in the process of low-carbon economic transformation in China has become an important theoretical and practical problem to realize the positive interaction and synergistic development of green credit and low-carbon economy, and finally realize the low-carbon economic transformation in China. The research of this paper is as follows: firstly,we measure and analyze the three aspects of green credit, technological progress and low-carbon economic transition, and choose the super-efficient SBM(Slack Based Model)model to analyze the spatial and temporal evolution characteristics of low-carbon economic transition in China as a whole and regionally.Second,a two-way fixed-effect model is applied to study the impact of green credit on low-carbon economic transformation.Again, based on the mediating effect model,we investigate whether technological progress can play a mediating effect in the process of green credit influencing low-carbon economic transformation, and test the mediating effect using three methods:stepwise regression method,Sobel test and Bootstrap sampling method. Finally, based on the economic development levels of different regions in China,China is divided into eastern and central and western regions to test the regional heterogeneity of green credit influencing low-carbon economic transformation. The research results show that: green credit can promote low-carbon economic transformation;technological progress can play a mediating effect in the process of green credit promoting low-carbon economic transformation;green credit can promote low-carbon economic transformation in both eastern and central and western regions, and its effect is stronger in the eastern region than in the central and western regions.Based on the findings of the study, the policy recommendations put forward in this paper mainly include: increasing green credit policy guidance, encouraging green technology innovation, promoting coordinated regional development, and enhancing inter-regional economic cooperation.
