Origami technology,as an ancient art form originated in China,has been further developed and applied with the development of science and technology.With the help of computer-aided design,scientists have expanded the application scenario of origami to aerospace,micro robot,biomedicine and other high-tech fields,and achieved remarkable results.Traditional threedimensional RF devices such as rectangular waveguide and flat plate capacitor have played an important role in RF systems such as radar and antenna,and have a long research history.However,in the traditional process,the processing cost and processing speed of three-dimensional RF devices are inferior to those of plane structure,and origami technology can just realize the transformation from two-dimensional structure to three-dimensional structure.Therefore,origami technology provides a new and efficient design method for the construction of three-dimensional RF devices.It is believed that the research of RF devices based on origami structure is of great significance to the development of three-dimensional RF devices.Based on the research of RF devices with the origami structure,this paper summarizes and classifies origami driving modes and origami materials,discusses their advantages and disadvantages.Finally,the driving mode of thermally active materials with light as heat source and polystyrene film used as the origami material are determined.Then,after discussing and analyzing the development history and working principle of various typical RF devices,the following work is completed:(1)A one-dimensional temperature distribution model at the crease of polystyrene film is established to analyze the folding principle of polystyrene film.The theoretical models of typical RF devices based on origami structure are established,and their working principles are studied.Through the establishment and analysis of the theoretical model,the key design parameters of typical RF devices are discussed.(2)According to the theoretical model of typical RF devices based on origami structure,considering the process constraints in the actual origami processing and the limitations of test environment,the specific structures of rectangular waveguide,rectangular waveguide coupler,rectangular waveguide power divider and microstrip low-pass filter are determined,and their microwave performance is optimized.(3)The origami plane structure of the above typical RF devices based on origami structure is prepared,and the transformation from two-dimensional structure to three-dimensional structure is realized under the condition of illumination.The purpose of constructing RF devices using origami technology is completed,and the experimental samples are tested.The experimental results show that the variation law of microwave performance of typical RF devices based on origami structure is consistent with the simulated results,which shows the correctness and effectiveness of the design method.In this paper,origami technology is proposed to realize the construction of RF devices for the first time,and rectangular waveguide,rectangular waveguide coupler,rectangular waveguide power divider and microstrip low-pass filter based on origami structure are designed.The microwave performance simulation design,processing and experimental test of various typical RF devices are carried out,which provides a new design method for three-dimensional RF devices.
