As nanofibers have several wonderful properties like good mechanical properties and high surface area to the volume ratio, they can be applied to many fields. Aligned nanofibers can be used as filter membrane, tissue engineering scaffolds, nano-sensors to get specific-direction light, etc. The defect of electrostatic spinning is low and the efficiency of using the receiving device of electrode to product orderly fiber is lower, which is seldom talked about.We design aluminum foil with a rectangular hole as the receiver. The nanofibers in good order are prepared with polycaprolactam (PA6) solution. This device is simple and effective. The produced fiber is parallel to the shorter edge of the rectangle, and looks similiar to the fiber prepared with parallel plate electrode. In order to study the electric field in electrostatic spinning for making orderly fiber, we use simulation software COMSOL Multiphysics to study on the electrostatic spinning electric field under different experimental conditions, combined with the test results to explore its mechanism of orientation, and suitable conditions for making orderly fiber is obtained.In addition, the receiver is changed into aluminum foil with 5,13 holes to advance preparation efficiency. Patterned electrostatic spinning is simulated by use of the summary of orderly mechanism, and the prospect of it is explored.
