Study On New High Efficiency Beneficiation Process For Complex And Refractory Rutile Ore | | Posted on:2023-07-15 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:F F Liu | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2531307070489174 | Subject:Engineering | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Primary rutile is an important titanium-bearing mineral,but due to the fine grain size of rutile and the complex associated gangue minerals,the separation of primary rutile ore is more difficult.In order to solve the problems of low concentrate grade and high beneficiation cost in the development of a complex and refractory rutile ore in Sichuan,this paper studies the process mineralogy of rutile ore,and the new process of mineral processing for efficient recovery of rutile ore is explored.Besides,the coarse concentrate obtained by separation is comprehensively utilized with high added value.Furthermore,the mechanism of lead nitrate activated rutile flotation with self-made hydroxamic acid CSU-9#as collector was studied by solution chemical calculation of Pb2+,zeta potential,FTIR and XPS analysis.The results of batch mineral flotation test show that lead nitrate can activate the flotation of rutile by CSU-9#with the highest recovery of91.48%.The analysis of crystal structure and surface properties shows that the new surface of rutile is easy to hydroxylate to form Ti-OH;The chemical calculation of lead nitrate solution shows that when p H=8,the dominant component of Pb(NO3)2 in the solution is Pb(OH)+;Zeta potential test shows that the adsorption of lead nitrate causes a positive shift in the surface potential of rutile,which facilitates the adsorption of CSU-9#;FTIR shows that the adsorption of CSU-9#on rutile surface is chemical adsorption;XPS analysis shows that Pb(NO3)2 interacts with oxygen site on the surface of rutile,thus activating the flotation of rutile.The process mineralogy of rutile ore shows that the ore mainly contains valuable minerals such as hematite,rutile,mica and quartz,and the embedded particle size of rutile is mostly 10μm or so.The experimental study on the new high-efficiency beneficiation process of rutile ore shows that hematite concentrate,rutile concentrate,mica concentrate and quartz concentrate with grades of 43.85%,32.21%,80.88%and 92.94%can be obtained by desliming-sulfur removal flotation-magnetic separation-regrinding-titanium flotation-mica flotation.The experimental study on high value-added comprehensive utilization of coarse concentrate shows that the iron concentrate can be obtained with a grade of 58.46%by magnetization roasting-weak magnetic separation process,and the titanium concentrate can be obtained with a grade of92.37%by leaching.The above studies show that flotation column cleaning and leaching are the main processes to improve the grade of rutile product. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | rutile, micro-fine particle, comprehensive utilization, activation mechanism, quartz | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
