Design And Research Of Children’s Picture Books Based On Shanxi Wenxi Huamo Culture

Wenxi Huamo is an excellent folk art technique in Wenxi County of Shanxi Province.It is an indispensable part of the daily life of the people of Wenxi,carrying unique artistic charm and folk cultural connotations.With the inclusion of Wenxi Huamo in the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage list in 2008,the development of Wenxi Huamo has faced new opportunities and challenges.But with the rapid development of modern society,Wen Xi Hua Mo is gradually fading out of people’s vision,and the younger generation is even more knowledgeable about it.As a unique expression system in children’s literature,children’s picture books are specially created by adults based on children’s psychology,using the fusion of pictures and words to convey knowledge and culture to children.In recent years,children’s picture books have gradually become an important resource and means to promote the development of young children,receiving continuous attention from more and more researchers and practitioners in different fields.In view of this,this article takes Wenxi Huamo culture as the research object,introduces Wenxi Huamo culture into children’s picture books,explores the sustainability of intangible cultural heritage inheritance,and analyzes the positive significance of introducing intangible cultural heritage into children’s picture books.It explores the value of Wenxi Huamo culture in children’s picture books,and ultimately creates Wenxi Huamo children’s picture books with unique artistic value.The first chapter of this article mainly sorts out the historical origin and current development of Wenxi Huamo in Shanxi.By comparing the artistic characteristics of Huamo in other regions,analyzing the craft characteristics of Wenxi Huamo,clarifying its folk application and functional implications,and providing story materials for subsequent picture book design.Chapter 2 conducts theoretical research on children’s picture books,analyzes the characteristics of excellent children’s picture books,understands the manifestations of children’s picture books at different age stages,introduces the concept of children’s picture book creation,and establishes a preliminary understanding of Wen Xi Hua Mo’s children’s picture book creation.The third chapter analyzes the significance and role of integrating intangible cultural heritage into children’s picture books,mainly through case analysis of published excellent intangible cultural picture books,analyzing the text content,visual expression,and layout and binding,summarizing the significance of integrating intangible cultural heritage into children’s picture books,exploring the ideas for creating intangible cultural children’s picture books,and providing theoretical and technical support for the subsequent creation of Huamo picture books.The fourth chapter is the design practice section,based on the culture of Wenxi Huamo,which focuses on the design of children’s picture books from the aspects of production materials,processes,tools,and folk applications of Wenxi Huamo.The series of derivative products are designed with three folk applications as the main line: praying for a new child,wedding congratulations,and elderly birthday wishes.The imagery and intuitiveness of children’s picture books are in line with their psychological characteristics and aesthetic needs,making them a more suitable book form for children to read.Introducing intangible cultural heritage into children’s picture books,through the form of picture books,can activate and integrate intangible cultural heritage into daily life,cultivate children’s understanding of the connotation of intangible cultural heritage,appreciate the craftsmanship and aesthetics of intangible cultural heritage,better establish cultural confidence,and build a national complex.At the same time,children’s picture books related to Wenxi Huamo culture can also provide new paths for the inheritance,protection,and development of Wenxi Huamo in the future,thus providing more possibilities for the active inheritance of intangible cultural heritage.
