Aviation safety is the lifeline of the development of civil aviation, and the landing phase is the most important flight phase related to safety issues.Although the available landing distance(LDA)of airports during flight operations is often greater than the approved required landing distance(RLD),incidents of airplanes overrun still occur. In fact, overly accommodating runway conditions have concealed many events where the actual landing distance is greater than the required landing distance, making each overrun event unique and special. The aviation industry often stays in the analysis of individual events. Both domestically and internationally,Quick Access Recorders(QAR)are widely used to monitor flight quality during various flight phases. This paper strives to use QAR data as a basis,to select and study the parts of the actual landing distance of the aircraft that are close to or exceed the required landing distance, which will expand the sample size of aircraft landing overrun events and help to analyze the general causes of aircraft overruns.First, this paper introduces the data and tools to be used, such as the collection and application of QAR data, and the interpretation of weather reports. Then, through regular expression collection under the Python language, weather reports for Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport and Dazhou Heshi Airport were collected. After that, the QARs of 5332 Boeing 737NG landing segments at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport and 241 at Dazhou Heshi Airport were preliminarily screened and reduced dimension. This would make the data used for analysis more statistically significant.Using the openpyxl library in Python, the QAR data and weather reports were matched and processed to obtain the runway condition conditions for each landing data. Then, using performance software, the required landing distance(RLD)of the aircraft under normal conditions was calculated.By limiting the range with increased coefficients, the actual landing distance(ALD)in the QAR data that was close to or exceeded the required landing distance(RLD)was further screened, obtaining the target sample.Afterwards, using SPSS,a stepwise multiple linear regression analysis was conducted on the data from the two airports, with landing distance as the dependent variable and other influencing factors as independent variables, and a multiple linear regression equation for the landing distance of the two airports was obtained. Finally, based on the statistical conclusions, pilot manipulation suggestions were given to help pilots understand the factors affecting aircraft landing distance from both the principles and statistical results. This plays a positive role in ensuring flight safety.
