Fengxiang printing and dyeing is a traditional craft of the Buyi people,known as "the wordless history book worn on the body",which is an important part of the culture of the Buyi people in Huishui County,And the protection and research of the printing and dyeing technology of Fengxiang can provide reference for the protection of traditional handicraft intangible cultural heritage.Taking the Huishui Fengxiang printing and dyeing process as the research object,this paper uses a variety of research methods to conduct research and analysis,sorts out the development process,process flow and artistic characteristics of this technology,analyzes the close relationship between the geographical environment of the Huishui area where the Fengxiang printing and dyeing process from and the Buyi culture,Moreover,the author,finds that the protection of Fengxiang printing and dyeing is imminent,and the discussion of its protection can summarize the achievements and effective protection paths of China’s intangible cultural heritage protection from a small perspective.Through the visit to the Fengxiang technology,it was found that there are many problems in the process of intangible cultural heritage protection of technology,The root of these problems lies in the cognitive bias towards the traditional Buyi Fengxiang printing and dyeing culture.According to the national intangible cultural heritage protection policies and guiding opinions,this paper will explore the path of "carrying" development of traditional crafts and ethnic ritual culture under the background of contemporary life,build the "necessity" of Buyi printing and dyeing products to become modern social life,and envisage the feasibility and possibility of design intervention,so that this technology can achieve modern transformation,realize the survival,inheritance and sustainable development of traditional crafts in contemporary times,and achieve the purpose of inheritance.Finally,using the perspective of modern design,the current situation and demand of Buyi wedding ceremonial supplies are analyzed,the planning and designs wedding etiquette supplies is carried out,and Fengxiang printing and dyeing process reintegrated into the Buyi people through improved design,unified image design,reconstruction design and other methods,so that the Buyi culture can return to the life of the Buyi people,and shoulder the mission of "tracing the origins" to ensure that the Buyi Fengxiang printing and dyeing process is passed down from generation to generation among the Buyi people as a "wordless history book".
