Chinese style costume is a symbol to stimulate the subjectivity identity of Chinese culture and national identity.Strengthening Chinese cultural self-confidence and gaining a sense of national belonging have become the development trend of the times.Chinese people are constantly building and practicing Chinese-style clothing to meet the diverse aesthetic needs and modern lifestyle in the social and historical changes.At present,traditional culture,fashion and design art are closely linked,and Cultural Intellectual Property blends and coordinates all kinds of cultures to form a unique creative carrier for transforming and developing traditional cultural resources.Cultural Intellectual Property based on traditional culture and Chinese symbols provides development opportunities and innovative support for the modern design of Chinese-style clothing under the revival of Chinese culture.By using the methods of literature research,induction and summary,case analysis and practice analysis,and combining with the theories of design,semiotics,iconography,psychology and other interdisciplinary disciplines,this paper takes Chinese clothing and cultural IP as the research object to study the factors and processes of modern innovative design of Chinese clothing.To build a sustainable path for the inheritance and innovation of Chinese traditional costume genes in the new era.It is divided into two parts: design theory research and design practice verification.Firstly,according to the literature and historical research,the research scope of Chinese-style clothing and cultural IP is determined,the basic concept attributes,historical traceability and development trend of the two are sorted out,and the guiding and transforming role and innovative application value of cultural IP on Chinese-style clothing are analyzed from social,cultural and economic values.Secondly,Chinese clothing originates from the deep cultural base of Chinese traditional clothing,through comparative analysis of the traditional clothing elements and improvement transformation methods contained in modern Chinese clothing such as new Chinese clothing,new Tang clothing,cheongsam,Zhongshan clothing,etc.,to summarize the style structure,decorative technology,color patterns and fabrics in modern Chinese clothing design.Try to summarize the basic design theory and method.Through the author’s practice of Guangzhou Museum IP new Chinese fashion design,literature and case analysis,this paper explores the design methods from four dimensions: scene reproduction,implied meaning association,symbolic extension and form sustenance.Based on the composite relationship among human,environment and product,and the demand-oriented influence of dominant and invisible cultural factors on the design results,this paper analyzes the design process elements of cultural prototype,community orientation,symbol pattern,emotional resonance and product conciseness,and then provides a theoretical reference for the application and expression of design that meets the functional and spiritual needs.In the design practice part,the culture and symbols of Chinese traditional zodiac Cultural Intellectual Property are analyzed,and the market status and design feasibility of Chinese clothing and related creative products are analyzed.Based on nearly 300 practical works of Chinese pattern fashion innovation projects,this paper summarizes and verifies the modern fashion innovation path of Chinese clothing patterns and establishes the theme gallery of the twelve zodiac Cultural Intellectual Property.According to the fashion trend in 2023,a series of practical design of clothing is carried out from the aspects of style structure,pattern color,fabric technology,etc.The main product types of domestic and foreign brands and IP are analyzed to derive and expand the series of Chinese fashion creative products of the twelve zodiac Cultural Intellectual Property and the design ideas,design inspiration,practice process and physical effect of Chinese clothing and creative products are expounded.The purpose of this paper is to verify the feasibility of applying the series design practice to the diversified development and process methods of Chinese clothing and literary creation from the perspective of culture,symbols and emotions of Cultural Intellectual Property,and to provide a thinking path for the follow-up exploration of the sustainable modern innovation practice of Chinese traditional Cultural Intellectual Property and Chinese clothing.
