Abstract/Summary:
The Sanshui River basin is a tertiary tributary of the Wei River and an important agricultural production area in the semi-arid northwest. The agricultural production space in the basin is limited by the mountain plateau topography, and there are problems such as poor agglomeration and structure, inefficient water use in agricultural production, uncoordinated spatial and temporal matching of water and soil, and unbalanced crop structure. In recent years, with the implementation of watershed ecological protection construction and territorial spatial planning, the spatial control of agricultural production at the small watershed scale is of great significance for the optimisation of agricultural layout and improvement of production efficiency in the territorial space. This paper explores the correlation and interaction mechanisms between ecohydrological processes and agricultural production space through a multidisciplinary approach, and proposes spatial control measures for agricultural production in the Sanshui River Basin, which is of great practical significance for optimising agricultural production patterns and promoting sustainable development of the basin. This paper uses theories and methods from various disciplines such as ecology, hydrology and urban and rural planning to analyse the spatial and temporal distribution of the ecological and hydrological process elements, agricultural production elements and water production and demand in the Sanshui River Basin,to reveal the intrinsic link between the ecological and hydrological process and the spatial pattern of agricultural production,to clarify the correlation between the two elements, and to summarise the spatial and temporal coupling and coordination between the two.On this basis, the spatial suitability of production, ecological services and social stability are evaluated in relation to other production-related factors, and spatially advantageous areas for agricultural production are delineated and corresponding spatial control strategies are proposed.Firstly, the background of the study is determined, the real-life and scientific problems are summarised, and the purpose and significance of the study are put forward;secondly, the research related to ecohydrological processes and agricultural production space is analysed and summarised to provide a basis for the development of the study;thirdly, based on theoretical research and concept definition of related disciplines,it is determined that the landscape pattern theory, water balance theory and water footprint theory are used as the basis, and the In VEST hydrological Fourth, through the analysis of the elements of the ecohydrological process, water production characteristics, land use changes, landscape pattern characteristics of agricultural production space and crop water demand patterns from 2005 to 2020,we summarised the characteristics of the agricultural production space and ecohydrological process in the Sanshui River Basin.Fifthly,we explore the correlation between the spatial elements of agricultural production and the elements of eco-hydrological processes, analyse the coupling and coordination of water production and water demand within the Sanshui River basin, and summarise the spatial and temporal matching and coordination mechanisms between ecohydrological processes and agricultural production space;sixthly,we combine other spatial elements of production, assess the suitability, serviceability and stability from the economic, ecological and social aspects, and delineate the spatial advantages of agricultural production in the Sanshui River basin. The study will also assess the suitability, service and stability of agricultural production from three aspects: economic, ecological and social. The study can provide an ecological and hydrological reference for the spatial layout of agricultural production in small watersheds, and build a coordination mechanism of "ecohydrological process-intrinsic crop demand-spatial pattern of production",based on the ecohydrological process of the agricultural production space The "production-ecology-life" value assessment of the agricultural production space delineates the production space advantageous areas and proposes a "macro-meso-micro" control strategy for the basin. The "macro-mesomicro" control strategy provides technical guidance for the territorial spatial planning of the river basin and meets the requirements of the composite and scientific nature of agricultural production space control functions.
