Adaptive cruise control technology is one of the advanced vehicle intelligent driving assistance technology,but also an important part of intelligent transportation system,can reduce the driver’s driving burden,reduce traffic accidents,ease the traffic congestion problem.In the past,studies have shown that the vehicle adaptive cruise control system has both cruise control performance and adaptive follow performance,but it can not guarantee the system security and wide adaptability,and has not been widely used.Therefore,the research on the safety and wide adaptability of the vehicle adaptive cruise system can provide reference and reference for improving the performance of the vehicle adaptive cruise control system.Facing the complex and volatile traffic situation,especially the adjacent car to the vehicle dangerous cut and follow the vehicle high speed away from the typical situation,the car adaptive cruise control system is difficult to achieve the desired control requirements.Therefore,by studying the safety pitch control strategy and adaptive algorithm of adaptive cruise system,it adapts to a variety of typical traffic conditions and improves the adaptability of adaptive cruise system.First,this paper uses Matlab and CarSim as the research platform to design the whole control model of the vehicle adaptive cruise system.According to the safety and adaptability of the system,two typical traffic conditions are designed:the traffic jam of the adjacent lane vehicles and the follow-Situation;3 kinds of ordinary traffic situation:cruise control situation,the general follow the situation,the city "go-stop"situation.The simulation results show that the vehicle adaptive cruise system has wide adaptability in the multi-scenario.Secondly,through the comparison and analysis of the existing safety vehicle distance strategy,the safety distance control strategy with variable front time is determined as the safe spacing control strategy.According to the presence of the vehicle and the driver to set the cruising speed,respectively,the establishment of the car before the state of motion equation and the state of the car before the space equation to complete the variable weight linear quadratic optimal algorithm control object.A different variable weight linear quadratic optimal control algorithm model is established to determine the variable weight equation.In order to avoid the cruise vehicle in the process of driving,the vehicle speed impact is too large,and maintain the system’s rapid response.Thirdly,in order to make the model realize the vehicle operation complexity and the dynamic characteristics of the vehicle,the vehicle dynamic model with strong nonlinearity is established in Car Sim according to the actual vehicle specific parameters.In order to realize the control of the acceleration and deceleration movement of the cruise vehicle during the running process,the inverse longitudinal dynamic model,namely the throttle control model and the braking force control model,is established by Matlab.Finally,in order to improve the adaptability of the control system,the single neuron PID control model with self-learning and self-adaptive performance is established in order to improve the adaptability of the vehicle adaptive cruise control system.In this paper,we evaluate the safety,followability and comfort of the self-adaptive cruise control system in many cases.The experimental results show that the cruise control system can follow the speed and distance of the target vehicle in two typical cases,and the cruise vehicle can follow the speed and the distance,The speed of the transition quickly and smoothly,reasonable changes from the car to ensure that cruise vehicles safe driving,reflecting the control system good control and control effects,and to achieve the desired control requirements.Multi-case car adaptive cruise control system in three kinds of common situations,can be a good speed and displacement to follow,with good safety,ride comfort,to achieve the desired control effect.The adaptive cruise control system can meet the design situation,improve the performance of the vehicle adaptive cruise control system and improve the adaptability of the adaptive cruise control system.
