Research On The Design Of Joint Office Space Transformed From Old Factory Building

With the accelerating process of urbanization in China,great changes have taken place in the economic structure.The old factories in some cities are being demolished or left idle,however,these old factories are not worthless.The historical and cultural values of the old factory have not been reflected as they should be.At present,these old factories can better meet the development needs of the current era through rebuilding and reusing,which can give them a new life and realize their own value.This thesis takes the reconstruction of the old factory building as a co-working space as the design research object.Due to its "large span and high overhead" characteristics,the old factory space plays an important role in meeting the more flexible functional requirements of the co-working space.Further research is needed to better integrate the co-working space into the carrier of the old factory.Based on a large amount of literature and practical cases,this thesis explores the design method of reconstruction an old factory building into a co-working space and concludes a set of practical design methods to guide the completion of this design practice.This thesis is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly analyzes the research background and significance of the thesis.Based on the description of related concepts,it summarizes the current research status at home and abroad,and proposes specific research content and research methods.In the second part,the general situation of the reconstruction of the old factory building into the joint office space is sorted out first,then the feasibility of the reconstruction is explored,and the influence of the reconstruction is analyzed to further demonstrate the feasibility of the reconstruction of the old factory building into the joint office space.In the end,the shortcomings in the process of reconstruction of the old factory building into the joint office space were sorted out,which paved the way for summarizing the design method below.The third part starts with the spatial scale of the old factory,analyzes the spatial diversity,vertical space and horizontal space of the old factory building by combining domestic and foreign excellent cases and related literature,and then proposes specific design methods.The fourth part is mainly the design practice.According to the summarized design methods,the design practice of targeted reconstruction is carried out.Finally,the design of the reconstruction of North China Pharmaceutical Factory into Co-working space is completed.What’s more,the thesis analyzes the scheme and the results of the reconstruction are displayed.
