The Strategic Study Of The Relationship Between Architecture And Topography In The Profile Of Bawa’s Architecture

Geoffrey Bawa skillfully blends tradition and modernity,east and west,formality and individuality into architecture,breaking down the barriers of inner and outer space from the point of human perception and experience,developed a unique concept of the site.In this paper,the section of Bava’s architecture is taken as the research object,and through the collection and analysis of data,the special relationship between Bava’s architecture and topography is put forward,it also makes a further study on its formation,development and strategy,and explores the local adaptability principle and sense intention of the relationship between architecture and topography in the Bava’s section.The main body of the article is divided into three parts:In the first part,based on the design idea of Bava’s and the unique site view formed by absorbing and transforming the local and foreign architectural culture,the special relationship between architecture and topography-"the relationship between architecture and topography" is proposed,it points out that Bawa is not bound by the traditional and modern architectural concepts,follows the site,and integrates the design of the building and the site at the macro,Middle and micro levels,and further combs "the construction and the topography relations" the stage development.In the second part,the author puts forward two strategies of the relationship between architecture and topography in the Bava’s section,and from the macroscopic architectural overall planning,the mesoscopic space sequence organization,as well as the microcosmic space shaping three levels to discuss the two.By virtue of topography does not mean that the building should be completely obedient to thetopography,but that the two mutually background,complement each other,topography can achieve the building,otherwise the building can also strengthen thetopography.The creation oftopography is not a rough copy of thetopography form,but through the experience of abstract natural mountains to shape the space,the use of architectural rewrites or remodeling thetopography form,to create a dramatic space effect.The third part points out that the relationship between architecture and topography conforms to the objective construction conditions and realizes the design principle of the fusion of tradition and modern,creating the fuzzy internal and external perception and the fuzzytopography perception,at the same time,different landscape experiences and different hierarchical experiences are formed in order to further understand Bava’s experience architecture.
