Research On Bus Station Design In Danyang City Based On Regional Culture Translation

The bus station is a public facility commonly used by the urban population and undertakes the important mission of the urban transportation;it is a material platform to display the image of the city,reflecting the planning quality of the overall urban space;it is the window of the urban landscape and civilization,demonstrating the cultural traits and taste of the city.Danyang’s bus station has been developing rapidly in the process of urbanization,but there are still problems such as simple patterns and lack of regional cultural characteristics.Aiming at these problems,this paper conducts a research on the design of Danyang bus station based on the transformation of regional culture.This research firstly investigates and analyzes the current situation of Danyang bus station and the development trend of bus station design,figures out deficiencies,and the breakthrough point of Danyang bus station design.Secondly,based on network research,literature review,case analysis and other research methods,a regional culture transformation model is constructed to guide the design practice.Thirdly,a database of regional cultural resources in Danyang City is established by using research methods such as field investigation and text data mining,which lays the foundation for the follow-up design practice to screen typical regional cultural resources.Finally,the design practice of Danyang bus station based on the translation of regional culture is completed.More than 10 design schemes have been accomplished in the pre-experimental stage of this research,and 6 preliminary design schemes have been fulfilled based on the regional culture transformation model,and one scheme has been selected for optimization and verification through comparative analysis.Through this research,it can be seen that the bus stop of Xinshikou Station in Danyang City,designed under the guidance of the regional culture translation model,is superior to the current Xinshikou Station in Danyang City in terms of aesthetic appearance,functional realization,environmental integration,and distinctive regional cultural characteristics.At the same time,the regional culture transformation model provides scientific method guidance for the design of similar products with regional cultural characteristics.
