Research On The Protection And Renewal Of Historical And Cultural Blocks Based On Spatial Narrative Theory

With the rapid development of cities,the scenery,appearance and planning of many cities tend to be the same.The disappearance of urban civilization personality makes the traditional characteristics of cities increasingly barren.Historical and cultural blocks are the embodiment of urban characteristics.The material space in the blocks is the testimony of history and the expression of historical facts.These historical narratives are non renewable precious resources.However,in the process of modernization,some ancient blocks ignore the historical narrative of block space and the protection and preservation of cultural information in order to meet the development of the city.Luoxia street historical and cultural block in Angangxi District,Qiqihar city is a national historical and cultural block.The architectural style,street style and planning structure of the block have a strong historical narrative.In the previous block renewal,the historical and cultural information contained in the block and the historical narrative of the Chinese Eastern Railway have been ignored.This paper takes the historical and cultural block of Luoxia street,Angangxi District,Qiqihar City as the research object,and uses the spatial narrative theory to study the protection and renewal of the block.Firstly,based on the spatial narrative theory and its operation mechanism,combined with the relevant research on the protection and renewal of historical and cultural blocks,this paper summarizes the adaptability of the two.Secondly,it studies and analyzes the cases of spatial narrative protection and renewal of historical and cultural blocks at home and abroad.Compare the case with the four spatial forms in the spatial narrative theory to form four types of case analysis;Then,according to the four elements of spatial narrative works-time,place,characters and events,corresponding to the four analysis points of historical and cultural background,material space analysis,public narrative behavior and spatial narrative planning in the case analysis of historical and cultural blocks,summarize the embodiment form and development direction of spatial narrative in historical and cultural blocks,so as to provide the basis for the spatial narrative construction of historical and cultural blocks.Third,investigate the historical and cultural information and material space carrier of the research object,extract the narrative elements and narrative clues of the block,summarize the public’s historical narrative cognition and needs,and draw the corresponding principles of narrative protection and renewal of the block space.They are the principle of historical narrative diversity,the principle of plot difference,the principle of spatial narrative unity and the principle of narrative construction.Based on this principle and the spatial logic of narration,this paper summarizes the protection and renewal strategy of Luoxia street historical and cultural block under the spatial narrative theory,and provides guidance for the renewal design of the block from four aspects: strengthening the historical narrative,developing the narrative way,integrating the spatial narrative and guiding the narrative crowd,so as to provide new ideas for the protection and renewal of the historical and cultural block of the Chinese Eastern Railway.
