The monitoring interface of the main control room of the nuclear power plant is the medium for the operator to perceive the operating status of the power plant.The quality of the monitoring interface design affects the operator’s perception,cognition,decision-making and operation of the state of the power plant.The monitoring interface of complex systems such as nuclear power plants has entered the digital age,and the digital monitoring interface and the traditional monitoring interface have changed greatly in terms of information display,operation control,user interface interaction,and alarm systems.These changes bring new challenges to monitoring interface design.The main research work of this paper is as follows:Firstly,starting from the study of semiotics theory,on the basis of analyzing the causes of cognitive load of the interface of the monitoring system of the nuclear power plant,the symbols of the interface design of the monitoring system of the nuclear power plant are studied.The main purpose of semiotics introduced in the design field is to study design language and establish communication rules.The monitoring system interface is a collection of various symbols and is a complete symbol system.Secondly,it integrates the viewpoints of various theoretical schools of semiotics,and analyzes the interface of the monitoring system from the three levels of semantics,syntax and pragmatics,and deeply discusses the organizational form,symbolic elements,meaning,transmission process and user cognition.Absorb other related discipline knowledge,summarize the design and development mode and general principles,propose the interface symbol extraction method and the monitoring system interface design and development process,and interpret the theoretical research with the nuclear power plant monitoring system interface as a case.Thirdly,the structure of the nuclear power plant display screen is described in the screen display element design,the nuclear power information parameters that need to be displayed in the system display screen,the selection rules,the overall layout principle and related characteristics of the display screen are discussed,and the icons on the display screen are designed.,and complete the detailed design of the system interface and the high-fidelity interactive prototype design of the interface on this basis.Finally,taking the typical monitoring interface of a nuclear power plant as an example,according to the above-mentioned relevant requirements and principles,a display screen suitable for the monitoring system of a nuclear power plant is designed.From the dimensions of cognitive load and situational awareness,a comprehensive evaluation method combining a variety of evaluation methods is used to evaluate and analyze the optimization plan.
