| In recent decades, with the increasing economic strength and rapid development of science and technology in China, people’s living standards have improved significantly and the quality of products has increased, leading to an increasingly competitive environment for manufacturing companies. In order to improve the competitiveness of enterprises among peers and deliver low-cost and high-quality products to customers on time, enterprises are required to analyze the problems in the production process and optimize it to make it more responsive and consistent with the development of the company. In this paper,we analyze and sort out the production process and related data, and find that the production process is too cumbersome and has serious bottleneck constraints. This paper introduces the idea of production process management and lean production, and proposes a study on the optimisation of the production line of G’s cylinder head products based on Petri net modelling. The main research elements of this paper are the following three points.(1)Analyse the current situation of the production process of cylinder head products in Company G and find out the problems that exist.Firstly,we introduce the basic situation of Company G,secondly,we analyse the organisational structure of the company,we describe the production process of the company’s cylinder head products in detail, based on the relevant information collected,we draw a flow chart of the production process of the cylinder head products and the current value flow chart of the manufacturing process, and finally, through the analysis of data,we summarise the problems that exist in the process.(2)A Petri net model was established for the production process of G’s cylinder head products, and the validity of the model was analysed.Firstly, the Petri net theory was used to model the production process of cylinder head products, and the validity of the model was analysed using the correlation matrix, and the model was verified to be operational using PIPE simulation software.Secondly, the Petri net model was analysed for internal activity relationships through the correlation matrix reorganisation method, and a Petri net subnet was established to identify the nodes that lead to resource conflicts. Then, based on the traditional Petri net model,a Markov chain is constructed by introducing time variables in the variation, and the Petri net model is analysed in terms of performance nodes from the busy rate of the library and the utilisation rate of the variation.(3)We set up an optimisation plan for the conflict nodes found above, and optimise the production process by establishing an information exchange platform, reducing the number of checks in the process, setting up a comprehensive inspection process and parallel operations, and comparing the results of the production process before and after optimisation.Firstly, the optimisation plan is developed.Secondly, the optimised Petri net model is drawn and analysed for validation. Finally, the changes before and after the optimisation are compared and analysed in terms of the average Token number, average variation rate, average delay time and process cycle time and the effect of the optimised production process is calculated. The contribution of this paper is to apply the theory and methodology of Petri nets to the actual production of a manufacturing company, helping company G to optimise the production process of its cylinder heads, reducing the number of conflicts in the production process and thus improving production efficiency. The lean manufacturing approach combined with Petri nets is also useful for other similar manufacturing companies to optimise their production processes. |
