Research On The Reconstruction Design Of Public Toilet In Jinan Urban Block

With the rapid development of society and economy,people’s quality of life has gradually improved,and there is a higher demand for urban environment and public service facilities.At present,under the background of urban renewal,the public toilet in the block is an important service place for the masses to solve physiological problems.The improvement of its environmental space has not kept up with the pace of urban development in time.The problems of old facilities,single function and lack of human care still exist,which brings many inconveniences and troubles to the masses.The bad impression of public toilets has not been completely changed.This thesis takes public toilets in urban blocks as the research object,mainly using literature research,field research,questionnaire survey and other methods.First of all,by combing the research status of public toilets at home and abroad,relevant basic theories and population needs,the existing problems of public toilets in blocks are put forward.Secondly,through the service design concept,the contact points,stakeholder needs,service processes and other related contents of public toilets in urban blocks are analyzed,the overall service system is updated and optimized,and the transformation design principles and strategies of public toilets in urban blocks are summarized.Finally,two different public toilets in the neighborhood of Daming Lake Scenic Area in Lixia District of Jinan City were selected for renovation design practice.According to local conditions,combined with the regional characteristics of Jinan City,according to the different needs of the surrounding residents and the floating population in the block,guided by the service design concept,under the premise of meeting the needs of the masses for toilets,the public service functions such as negotiation and exchange,urban cultural display and short rest are added,in order to continuously improve the quality of life of the people in the process of urban renewal,improve the service experience of the public toilets in the block,meet the diversified needs of different ages and different groups of people,and create a diversified public toilet space with urban station attributes for the people.
