Inheritance And Innovation Of Folk Culture Blocks

The shape of the folk cultural block is produced by the aborigines through joint production practice and social interaction,which includes not only the physical geographical environment,street texture and architectural style,but also the nonmaterial traditional skills,living habits,folk beliefs,etc.As witnesses of history and culture,folk culture blocks carry the characteristic culture of urban people’s life and are an indispensable part of the urban development process,and the value of its inheritance is self-evident.Nowadays,as the country pays more and more attention to the development of folk culture blocks,there are more and more commercial streets developed in China with the theme of folk culture,but not every folk culture block can be built with vitality.Therefore,the revival of folk culture blocks has always been a problem.It is an important research and practical problem in the fields of architecture,planning,economy,and culture.The purpose of this paper is to analyze the content of the inheritance of folk cultural blocks,to study the innovative strategies of space transformation and commercial operation,and finally to apply the researched innovative strategies to the case of Wuhan Jiqing Street,in order to achieve the purpose of revitalizing Wuhan Jiqing Street..The second chapter of this thesis first classifies and analyzes the folk elements and inheritance content contained in the folk cultural blocks,and then combines the domestic examples of the development of folk cultural blocks to make a concrete analysis and serve as the research basis.The third chapter focuses on the principles and strategies to be followed in the innovation of folk cultural blocks.The innovation strategies are divided into two directions: building space reconstruction and commercial operation.The block space needs to be restored according to the old,the new and the old coexist and live.In order to innovate the inheritance strategy,the commercial operation of the block needs to innovate according to the strategy of constructing a cultural IP output model,multiple presentation methods of folk culture,and setting multiple commercial consumption themes.Finally,taking Wuhan Jiqing Street as an example,it analyzes its pre-renovation situation,motivation,current situation and deficiencies,expounds the inheritance content of its folk culture,and applies the innovative principles and strategies studied in Chapter 3 to the renovation design of Jiqing Folk Street.The three directions of space transformation,cultural IP export and enrichment of commercial formats reflect the inheritance and innovation of its folk culture,thus making Jiqing Folk Street a gathering place for Wuhan’s characteristic folk culture.It is hoped that the research in this paper can bring a new idea and direction for the inheritance and innovation of folk cultural blocks,and provide a certain theoretical knowledge reference for related research.
