Under the background of safe production and safe life,surge protection is getting more and more attention from all walks of life,and the market of surge protection industry is becoming more and more broad.As a very core link in the process of product research and development,laboratory release testing plays a crucial role in the connection of the upstream product research and development and downstream marketing.Once the laboratory test project is delayed,it will affect the release of the corresponding products,which is not conducive to the promotion and sales of new products.As a result,Reducing the cycle time to develop new surge protection products to meet the market demand is beneficial to seize market share and enhance the competitiveness of enterprises.However,the traditional laboratory project schedule delay to the probability of a larger project management method,in this context,this paper summarizes and sorts out the problems existing in the testing project of the laboratory surge protection products,and deeply analyzes the causes of the problems.At the same time,based on project schedule management,constraint theory and critical chain technology and other related theories,this paper builds a project schedule management model based on critical chain technology,and optimises and upgrades the schedule management method of surge protection device test project.This article after the definition of the surge protection device test project,the various tasks were work breakdown structures,confirm the logical relation between subtasks,estimate the time of initial arrangement,the identification of key chains,calculation and set the buffer after balance project resource conflict,optimization task of the logical relationship between the table and project schedule,and control of all kinds of buffer.By analyzing and comparing the situation of using the critical chain method to manage the project schedule and the situation of using the traditional schedule management method,the applicability and reliability of using the critical chain project schedule management method in the test project of the surge protection device in the laboratory of A company are verified.Surge protection products in the test application of critical chain project management technology,can effectively compress the total project time limit for A project,to speed up the implementation of project tasks,shorten the task execution time of each link,and then enhance the company’s core competitiveness,as well as with the types of testing laboratory A company project schedule management provide certain reference value.
