Railway freight transportation has the advantages of strong transportation capacity,low cost,small regional limitations,less affected by weather seasons and other natural conditions,therefore,it is an economic and safe mode of transportation.However,with the increase of running speed and axle load of railway freight car,the problem of vehicle dynamics becomes more and more serious.In the complex railway system,the wheel rail relationship is the most fundamental problem,and the matching relationship of wheel rail profile directly affects the operation performance,operation cost and operation safety of trains.Therefore,it is of great significance to systematically analyze the influence of the matching relationship between the heavy-duty wheel profile and the heavy-duty rail profile on the vehicle dynamic performance,so as to improve the vehicle dynamic performance and the economic and social benefits of railway freight transportation.In this paper,the matching characteristics of China’s freight car wheel profile LM and two kinds of 75kg/m rail profiles,CHN75 and CHN75 N,are systematically analyzed by means of dynamic simulation.The results are as follows:Compared with CHN75 rail,the contact position between LM wheel and CHN75 N rail is mainly in the large arc at the top of rail,which is conducive to the stability of vehicle running in a straight line and the uniform wear of rail.When the vehicle passes through the straight line,the lateral stability of LM wheel matching with CHN75 N and CHN75 rail has no much difference,which belongs to the first level stability.However,the vertical stability of LM wheel matching with CHN75 N rail is better than that of CHN75 rail,the vertical stability index of CHN75 N rail belongs to the first level stability,while that of CHN75 rail belongs to the second level stability.Compared with LM/CHN75,the average root mean square value of the wheel wear number of LM/CHN75 N is reduced by about 5.4%.The comprehensive performance of LM wheel and CHN75 rail is better than that of CHN75 N rail when they pass through curves with 200 m radius,800 m radius and 1200 m radius.The derailment coefficient of CHN75 rail and LM wheel is 52.5%,12.2% and 5.1% lower than that of CHN75 N rail when they pass through the above curves,respectively with the increase of line radius,the advantage of CHN75 rail becomes less obvious.Therefore,when LM wheel is matched with CHN75 N rail,the straight performance is better than that of CHN75 rail,but the curving performance is worse than that of CHN75 rail.
