With digital technology,chain of block,Internet of Things,cloud computing,artificial intelligence and other emerging information technology and e-commerce industry,the depth of the fusion of traditional price competition has turned to the construction of the value chain system,enterprises not only focus on a certain part of the cost control,but to integrate various value-added links of value activities to realize optimization of the cost control system,Then improve the core competitiveness of enterprises.In particular,Alibaba,JINGdong,Pinduoduo and other e-commerce enterprises have built platform business model and become the leader of e-commerce enterprises by establishing their own direct e-commerce platforms.Gome retail,as the earliest home appliance chain retail enterprise in China,has gained huge profit margins by virtue of the traditional store platform and the mode of chain operation.However,in the dynamic and complex external environment and fierce industry competition,Gome retail industry leader gradually opened the gap.Therefore,Gome retail holds high the banner of transformation and upgrading,and puts forward the new retail concept of "online + offline + logistics" in order to change the passive situation.This article selects a representative of the Gome retail e-commerce enterprises as an example,from the industry situation and the development of the company development,analyzes the status quo and the Gome retail value chain cost control present situation,and further explore the Gome retail cost control in the internal value chain,vertical value chain and horizontal value chain existing problems and the reasons.From the perspective of value chain to re-understand Gome retail cost control system,and then based on the value chain theory of the existing problems of the retail industry in the United States to put forward specific suggestions.On the internal value chain,VMI strategy is adopted to reduce the procurement cost,optimize the logistics system fine management storage cost,use new technology to reduce online and offline distribution cost,improve the efficiency of after-sales service processing;In the vertical value chain,strengthen strategic cooperation with suppliers,improve customer viscosity and reduce customer service costs;In the horizontal value chain,we should increase the input of digital technology to reduce the cost of acquiring new customers,reduce the cost of publicity with the help of its platform promotion,and build a horizontal alliance to acquire external resources to reduce the overall cost expenditure.It is hoped that the above targeted suggestions will help Gome retail regain its competitive advantage and make Gome retail,once a "follower",come from behind to take the lead.
