Study On Aging Design Of Urban Residential Space

With the rapid development of national economy and the continuous improvement of people’s living standard,the need to adapt the living space for the elderly is getting more and more attention from the society,thus,the design of aging space under such background has a special significance.This thesis takes the current situation of the indoor space of the old people’s home in Wangcheng County,Nanchang City as the research object.The special group of elderly people living in the home is the specific target of the research,and through sorting out the relevant theories of aging-friendly design of living space,analyzing the psychological,physiological and activity behaviors of the special group of elderly people,and summarizing the current situation of aging-friendly research on living space at home and abroad.Through the field investigation,the author found that there are problems in the public space and private space of the old people’s home in Wangcheng County,Nanchang City.Under the guidance of relevant national policies and documents,the author constructs a framework for the aging-friendly design of Wangcheng County Home for the Aged,proposes three major principles on aging-friendly functions,materials and facilities of living spaces,and also demonstrates the theory with the help of design cases.It is expected that through the aging-friendly design of Wangcheng County Home for the Aged,the research on the aging-friendly design of urban living space will be carried out,which will provide a reference solution for the aging-friendly design of urban living space under the social aging model in China.It is hoped that through this case,we can promote the improvement of living space environment for the elderly in China,and fundamentally improve the quality of life of the elderly in their old age.
