In recent years,affected by the international and domestic energy situation,China has formulated the "3060 dual-carbon strategy".Based on this strategy,the proportion of traditional thermal power units has decreased,and different forms of new energy power generation have developed rapidly.Clean energy power generation technology continues to make breakthroughs,and the ratio of installed capacity and grid connection continues to increase;as China enters a "moderately prosperous society" and people’s living standards improve,there are higher requirements for high-quality power supply,while new energy power generation technology is still at the stage of development.In the development stage,the ability to supply stable electric energy is not yet fully mature,subject to large fluctuations in output due to natural conditions,and large-scale grid connection has aggravated the fluctuation of grid load frequency,which has a great impact on the stable transmission of electric energy in the grid.As a thermal power unit that still accounts for about half of my country’s total power generation,it needs to undertake a large number of frequency and peak regulation tasks when responding to power grid fluctuations.The thermal power unit has a strong thermal inertia,a large delay in the control process,and a slow load change rate.Long-term variable load operation will also affect its stability.Among thermal power units,a large number of circulating fluidized bed units are used for deep peak regulation,and their frequency regulation capabilities need to be improved.As an emerging energy storage method,flywheel energy storage has the advantages of high energy conversion rate and fast response speed.Applying it to the frequency regulation of auxiliary circulating fluidized bed units can effectively improve its ability to respond to loads and enhance its Running stability.This paper introduces the flexibility problems faced by thermal power units and the current research status to solve these problems,proposes a mode of assisting thermal power unit frequency modulation through energy storage,compares various energy storage methods to obtain the advantages of flywheel energy storage,and further introduces Its technical development and application,discusses the method of flywheel energy storage used to assist thermal power unit frequency regulation.Through the study of the frequency characteristics and control methods of the load side and the power generation side of the power system,the frequency modulation principle in the thermal power system is analyzed,and based on this,a flywheel-thermal power coupling regional power grid model is initially proposed.Then model the flywheel and circulating fluidized bed units separately,optimize the load distribution system simultaneously,and establish the final regional power grid model of flywheel-CFB unit joint frequency modulation.By building each module in MATLAB/Simulink software,the simulation system,according to different power grid dispatching instructions,random signals are input to conduct simulation tests to check whether the model is correct.By analyzing the fluctuations of system frequency,steam turbine output,and main steam pressure,it is possible to illustrate the feasibility of frequency modulation technology of circulating fluidized bed unit with auxillary of flywheel energy storage.
