| In order to motivate employees to work hard,promote employee innovation,attract and retain talents,and increase the value of the company,the company provides employees with equity incentives to become shareholders of the company and share the company’s future growth and benefits.Through equity incentives,employees can be more closely related to the company’s interests,increase their work enthusiasm and innovation awareness,and thus have an impact on innovation efficiency.However,different equity incentive plans and their implementation will have different impacts on innovation efficiency,so how to formulate and implement equity incentive plans to effectively improve the innovation efficiency of enterprises is a problem worth studying.This paper takes the formulation and implementation of CATL’s equity incentive plan from 2018 to 2020 as an example,calculates the R&D investment efficiency by the DEA method,analyzes in detail the impact of the formulation and implementation of the company’s equity incentive plan on improving the company’s innovation efficiency,compares the level of the same industry,determines the existing shortcomings,analyzes the causes of the shortcomings and proposes optimization strategies.It is found that the formulation of the fourth phase equity incentive plan of CATL is constantly optimizing and progressing,but there are still shortcomings such as imperfect equity incentive mechanism,declining innovation efficiency year by year,and R&D investment lower than the level of the same industry.The main reasons for these deficiencies are: short incentive period,improper setting of incentive assessment indicators,weakening of equity incentives year by year,and unfavorable investment environment;In view of the current problems and causes of CATL’s equity incentive plan,the following countermeasures are proposed: extend the sales restriction period for core key personnel,extend the vesting period for middle-level personnel,formulate appropriate incentive assessment indicators,diversify incentive assessment indicators and appropriately expand the scale of equity incentives to improve the equity incentive mechanism of CATL,so as to improve the innovation efficiency of CATL’s equity incentive enterprises.The research conclusion is helpful for CATL to optimize the equity incentive plan,flexibly adjust the scale of equity incentives,attach importance to the efficiency of equity incentives,formulate a more scientific and reasonable equity incentive mechanism,strengthen equity incentive management,establish an equity incentive evaluation system,and continuously improve the equity incentive mechanism,so it will have a positive impact on improving the innovation efficiency of enterprises and promote the sustainable development of enterprises. |
