In coal production process,coal gangue is solid refuse.Steel slag is a product of crude steel.The solid refuse accumulation will waste large land resources and affect the ambient milieu.In answer to sustainable development requirements,application of coal gangue and steel slag in highway engineering to alleviate the bad effect of solid waste on ecotope,and realizing resource use of bulk solid waste,and effectively recede the building cost.Through text study and investigation,it is determined that the admixtures of the mixture are coal gangue,steel slag,mineral powder and sodium hydroxide.The related material properties of coal gangue,steel slag,mineral powder and sodium hydroxide were studied.Test fruits indicate the criterion of crude materials meet the technic requirement of the norms.Through the colligate assay of the fruits of job site survey,text study and pretest,the dosage zone of coal gangue,steel slag,mineral powder and sodium hydroxide was finally fixed,and fix the element grade of the test.The mixt ratio was planed by union design method,and the unlimited compress strength,resilient modulus and cleavage strength of each group was tested.The correlations between the relative dosage of steel slag,mineral powder,sodium hydroxide and three mechanical properties were established by regression analysis.In the field of this study,the regression equation can predict the aim level according to the relative dosage of each blending,bided the regression equation for each rank of pavement base to offer a logical mixture ratio.The antifreeze of gangue mixture was studied by freeze-thaw test,and the water stability of gangue mixture was studied by dry-wet cycle test and immersion expansion rate test.According to the fruits of unconfined compressive strength,two groups of typical mixture were chosen from six groups of mixture ratios is obtained by uniform design for freeze-thaw test and dry-wet cycle test.The immersion expansion rate of six groups of mixture is obtained by uniform design was studied.The relationship between the relative dosage of steel slag,mineral powder,sodium hydroxide and the immersion expansion rate was established.In the field of this study,the fruits show that the immersion expansion rate of mixture gratify the specification requirements.The fruits indicate the antifreeze and water stability of coal gangue mixture excited by sodium hydroxide gratifies the road requirements.The fruits indicate the mechanical properties and durability of coal gangue mixture excited by sodium hydroxide gratify the requirements of pavement base.
