| Science communication based on virtual reality technology refers to science education activities using computer technology.The continuous development of virtual reality technology has provided technical support for science education,changed the way people learn,and made the traditional one-way output go in a new direction.In view of many problems such as the current single model of popular science products and the lack of high-quality scientific promotion resources,this study uses questionnaire surveys and individual observation methods to study children aged 7-12 years old,fully investigate the status quo of related products and the characteristics of target users,analyze the problems existing in current popular science products,and dig out children’s demand for popular science knowledge.In order to better explain the theoretical basis of the research,we design and develop the practical case of insect science blind box based on the theory of popular science learning and user experience,using virtual reality as a technical auxiliary means,and considering children’s cognitive development.The objectives,positioning,concept and style of the case were expounded,and the design direction was to improve the fun,immersion and practicality of popular science products,collect and analyze insect bee data,extract insect bee elements for blind box setting and software application and hardware equipment design,and propose an application environment to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the product scheme,use virtual reality technology to expand new forms of education for children’s popular science learning,cultivate children’s interest in scientific content and understanding of scientific knowledge.Stimulate children’s curiosity about science,so that they can gain deeper knowledge from fun activities and deepen their understanding of science.After the design is completed,the product is tested and optimized,and strives to improve the self-drive and enthusiasm of children’s popular science learning through virtual reality technology.On the basis of the research results of domestic and foreign scholars on popular science products,this paper reviews its characteristics and the reference points of this research,and focuses on the combination of popular science products and virtual reality technology,explores the application of virtual reality technology to children’s popular science products according to children’s cognitive development needs,summarizes the popular science methods suitable for children’s cognitive characteristics,provides new possibilities for the future application of virtual reality technology in children’s popular science education,and also provides new ideas for the development of popular science products informatization. |
