| In recent years,China has paid more and more attention to the protection of cultural heritage.Various government documents, such as the 14 th Five-Year Plan and the report of the 20 th National Congress, all pointed out that the protection and utilization of cultural heritage should be strengthened. As one of the important components of my country’s cultural heritage, the many Prince’s Mansions buildings of the Qing Dynasty concentrated in the inner city of Beijing are an indispensable part of the protection work. The Theater architecture of Prince’s Mansions,as an important auxiliary building in the Prince’s Mansions architectural complex,is a place where various behaviors such as listening to Traditional Chinese Opera, banquets, leisure, and communication. Its unique functional characteristics make its architecture and spatial morphology unique. In addition,Prince’s Mansions’ Theater architecture is not only a material cultural heritage, but also a valuable source of inheritance for theatrical intangible cultural heritage, which is shaped by traditional Chinese opera culture, thus reflecting the integration of drama intangible cultural heritage and Prince’s Mansions culture, but research on its reuse is also relatively weak. Therefore, this article intends to explore the spatial morphology of the material elements of Prince’s Mansions’ Theater architecture, and clarify its spatial morphology content and characteristics; At the same time, studying the cultural connotations, spiritual values, and other influencing factors behind it can deepen our understanding of the architectural culture of the Prince’s Mansions, and is also of great significance for activating the intangible cultural heritage of drama. However,at present, research on the architecture of the Qing Dynasty Beijing the Theater of Prince’s Mansions at home and abroad only focuses on a few individual cases to describe the architectural overview.Research on the overall distribution characteristics and spatial morphology of the buildings is still very weak. Moreover, with the transformation of old cities and the current urban renewal and development, coupled with the influence of people’s production activities,a large number of the original 20 Theater architecture of Prince’s Mansions have been demolished, and according to survey statistics, only 5 remain. The preservation of the current situation is worrying. At the same time, the inheritance of Beijing Opera and Kunqu Opera,as world intangible cultural heritage,in the Beijing region also faces the dilemma of lacking traditional viewing space.Among the inheritance venues, there is only one Theater architecture of Prince’s Mansions and a small number of guild buildings.Based on this,we urgently need to conduct a systematic study of the existing Qing Dynasty Theater architecture of Prince’s Mansions, clarify their historical evolution, distribution status, architectural layout, and existing conditions,And explore the feasibility of reusing the architecture of the Theater architecture of Prince’s Mansions and inheriting intangible cultural heritage. This article takes the architecture of the Prince’s Mansions Theater in Beijing during the Qing Dynasty as the research object, based on relevant historical maps and literature,to study the spatial morphology of the Prince’s Mansions Theater, and to explore the deep connotation and connection between the Prince’s Mansions Theater and the intangible cultural heritage of traditional Chinese opera, summarizing its heritage value.Firstly, the formation of local opera in Beijing and the evolution of theater architecture are reviewed, and the mutual influencing factors between the two are summarized; On this basis, the spatial morphology of the Prince’s Mansions Theater is studied from three levels: macroscopic, intermediate, and microscopic perspective, namely in the Beijing city,in the Prince’s Mansions courtyard, and in individual buildings, and the characteristics and influencing factors are summarized; Then,on the basis of on-site research on the existing buildings of the Prince’s Mansions Theater, the preservation status and problems are summarized. At the same time, the current situation and needs of the inheritance of intangible cultural heritage of Beijing opera are analyzed, and the existing problems and future development trends are summarized.Based on the inheritance of intangible cultural heritage, possible suggestions for the reuse of the Prince’s Mansions Theater are proposed. Finally,By summarizing the spatial morphology of the Prince’s Mansions Theater in the Qing Dynasty and proposing the reuse of intangible cultural heritage inheritance in its space, hope to provide some reference for related research work in the future. |
