| China’s 14 th Five-Year Plan clearly proposes to implement urban renewal actions,and the Detailed Control Plan for the Core Area of the Capital Function(Neighborhood Level)(2018-2035)clearly designates "mature traditional cottage areas ",which is a traditional neighborhood outside of the historical and cultural district,and is an atypical historical district.At present,the research on atypical historic districts such as the traditional bungalow district is at an early stage,and the understanding of its value in urban development is not comprehensive,and there is no in-depth research on the renewal countermeasures of the relevant specific spaces,which cannot form a complete theoretical system.In order to better implement the requirements of the control plan and carry out the urban regeneration of "traditional cottage areas",it is necessary to innovate the development mode of the neighborhood and deepen the spatial regeneration design strategy.Boundary is a spatially meaningful subject in neighborhood planning and design,and the boundary of traditional bungalow district is a defining and transitional space between traditional bungalow district and other urban areas.On the one hand,the border space of cottage area has important historical and humanistic value,and is an important part of the urban structure system of the old city,and is also a complex space with multiple attributes and multiple types of composition;however,the contradictions and problems of the border space have gradually emerged in the construction history and social use of the times,and its spatial pattern lies in the spatial texture of urban relations,the integration of business patterns with the surrounding functions and the articulation of internal and external road networks.The spatial environment is characterized by a weakened regional feature and historical cultural atmosphere,unfulfilled demand for diverse people activities,and an incomplete ecological landscape system,as well as problems in its design and maintenance.Therefore,based on the perspective of symbiosis,the study focuses on the multiple spatial attributes of the boundary and the needs of people’s activities,analyzes and researches the current spatial conservation situation of the boundary of the traditional bungalow area in Beijing,constructs a spatial renewal system for the boundary,and studies the design strategies for the symbiotic renewal of the specific spatial pattern and spatial environment.The traditional bungalow area is used as an "intermediate field" for the symbiotic development of the bungalow area and the surrounding area,and the multiple contradictory spatial relationships are resolved and eased,while the characteristics of the border benefits are further brought into play,forming a spatial level symbiosis strategy and gradually realizing the goal of symbiosis.The content of the thesis is divided into six chapters:Chapter 1 is the introduction.It introduces the background of the topic of the dissertation,presents the research purpose,research significance and innovation points,defines the concept of mature traditional cottage area and boundary space and a review of domestic and international research,introduces the research method of the dissertation,and organizes the research content and research framework.Chapter 2 is a review of basic theories and related research.The theories of symbiosis perspective and neighborhood boundaries are sorted out and summarized,combined with the domestic and foreign symbiosis concepts,symbiotic properties of boundaries and case analysis of symbiosis practices of courtyards,neighborhoods and spaces,and formed the research revelation of studying problems with dialectical thinking,constructing systems with multiple elements and realizing symbiosis with intermediate fields.The third chapter is about the spatial characteristics and current problems of the boundaries of traditional cottage areas in Beijing,sorting out the historical evolution and cultural values of the boundaries,the characteristics of the boundaries in different areas and the boundary information;classifying the boundaries into types,summarizing and analyzing their constituent elements,surrounding functions and human activities.The spatial pattern of the boundary in the cottage area is summarized,and the problems in the spatial environment are summarized.Chapter 4 is the construction of the boundary space renewal system from the perspective of symbiosis.The factors influencing the coexistence of boundary space are categorized and analyzed,and the renewal application mechanism is studied from the urban neighborhood dimension,socio-economic dimension,temporal development dimension and spatial composition dimension to form the boundary renewal mechanism,clear role positioning and spatial design principles.Chapter 5 is a study on the spatial pattern symbiosis design strategy of the boundary.The strategy of spatial pattern of the boundary is formed by the definition and protection of texture pattern,the optimization of compatibility of surrounding functions,and the layout of road and street connectivity,and the design is verified for the traditional bungalow area.Chapter 6 is a study on the design strategy of spatial environment coexistence at the boundary.It proposes specific design strategies for the reshaping of boundary space by shaping the territoriality of spatial interface,designing the publicness of spatial places and enhancing the perception of spatial landscape,and carries out design verification for the traditional bungalow area.The last part is the conclusion and outlook.This paper focuses on the boundary of the traditional bungalow area in Beijing,which complements the current situation and theoretical research,and also highlights its spatial characteristics;under the perspective of symbiosis,it forms a boundary space regeneration strategy that integrates into the overall development of the city,coordinates traditional and modern styles,old and new residents,multiple cultures,and multiple ecological symbiosis,with a view to using boundary space remodeling as a guiding and driving mechanism for neighborhood regeneration and promoting the preservation and development. |
