Research On Sustainable Development Of Urban Colors In Datong Old Town Based On Regional Color Prototype

Datong is one of the first batch of historical and cultural cities announced in China.It was once the capital of the Northern Wei Dynasty,the Liao and Jin Dynasties,and the military town of the Ming and Qing Dynasties.It is famous at home and abroad for its splendid culture and art,long and profound cultural heritage,and unique coal resources.Therefore,Datong has always been of great research value.Urban color is the most intuitive manifestation of urban spirit and cultural connotation,and is the main way to improve urban style and features.Its importance has been increasingly concerned by urban planners and residents.Datong’s urban color planning was implemented earlier.Although it has achieved intuitive results,due to the development of the times,the original color planning has gradually failed to meet the needs of modern urban development.In addition,in recent years,urban color planning has been in a passive position to solve the continuous color problems in the city,while the positioning of the city is vague,ignoring its own cultural connotation,and urban color planning has gradually fallen into a bottleneck period.Based on the above development difficulties and practical needs,there is an urgent need to explore comprehensive,integrated and sustainable urban color planning strategies and methods to create a new look of the city with regional characteristics,which can demonstrate profound cultural connotation and be recognized by the citizens.This topic starts from the overall color concept of regional color prototype,takes the typical area of Datong old city as the research object,introduces the "prototype" theory in the field of psychology and the Japanese NCD color analysis system,so that the perceptual part of color language that was not easy to grasp in the past can be quantified into data language,and attempts to grasp the regional color of Datong old city from a deeper perspective of behavioral psychology,Combined with the main factor that affects the formation of the color prototype in the old city of Datong the traditional Chinese color concept,we can truly understand the regional color of Datong from the "root",so that the traditional,contemporary and future architectural colors can actively adapt to the continuous renewal and change of the city and can carry out organic renewal and inheritance integration,thus realizing the sustainable development of urban color.Adopting a combination of theoretical research and on-site research analysis.Based on the theories of chromatics,color geography,color psychology,prototype theory,Chinese traditional color concept and sustainable development concept,the regional color of Datong is fully recorded.In combination with the color planning of the upper city,the regional color characteristics,color laws and aesthetic habits of Datong’s old urban area under different types and levels are analyzed,and the questionnaire survey of local residents’ color preferences is conducted.Finally,the vocabulary and grammar rules of regional color in the old urban area of Datong are summarized.Through the analysis of the development positioning of the old urban area of Datong,and from the perspective of sustainable development,starting from the macro,meso,and micro levels of the city,supplemented by examples of color transformation design,the conscious reuse methods and strategies of color prototypes in the Datong area are explored.
