Inheritance And Development Of Tang Dynasty Architectural Colors In Xi'an City Color

As the first visual perception of urban appearance,urban color plays an important role in conveying urban impression and urban cultural connotation.At present,the current situation of urban color in China is mainly reflected in two aspects.On the one hand,due to the extensive use of new materials in some cities and the lack of awareness of urban color planning,resulting in color homogenization,urban color pollution and other problems,resulting in the loss of their own urban characteristics.On the other hand,a small number of cities have launched a series of urban color planning practices based on their own regional characteristics,history and culture.For example,Suzhou uses the traditional colors of black,white and gray as the keynote to highlight the ancient city's style of "thick ink and light color".Beijing has created a city color score of "Dan Yun Yin Lv" based on the palace architectural color of yellow glazed tiles,red pillars and gray residential color,which reflects the distinct regional culture and urban recognition.It can be seen that the inheritance of historical context in urban color is not only conducive to the continuation of urban context,but also conducive to highlighting the unique personality of one's own city,so as to distinguish it from other urban colors and avoid the phenomenon of "thousands of cities are all the same".Therefore,it is particularly important to excavate and inherit the regional traditional colors.Xi'an,as the archaic capital of thirteen dynasities,has a deep-seated cultural background,particularly the history of the Tang Dynasty laid a solid cultural foundation for Xi'an.In view of this,the author believes that the study of the architectural color of the Tang Dynasty is of vital value and significance to the embodiment of the urban color and the unique urban spiritual style of Xi'an.Qujiang Cultural Scenic Area is a new development area in Xi'an,which is dominated by culture and tourism industry.Centering on the Dayan Pagoda,a historical and cultural building of the Tang Dynasty,it has built a number of cultural tourism buildings based on the Tang Dynasty architecture,such as the Dayan Pagoda Scenic area,Tang Paradise,Qujiang Pool Heritage Park and Tang City Wall Heritage Park.It once again shows the elegant demeanor of the Tang Dynasty,so it as the subject of this research.On the basis of defining the concepts,elements and influencing factors of architectural color and urban color in Tang Dynasty,relying on Urban Planning Theory,Cojorgeog raphy,Colour Theory and other related disciplines,and guided by Lenclos color investigation method,this paper summarizes the rule of the application of architectural color in Tang Dynasty through field investigation and analysis of the architectural color in Xi'an and the architectural color in New tang style.Then it makes an on-the-spot investigation on the current situation of the overall color of Qujiang Cultural Scenic Area,and analyzes the forms and characteristics of the inheritance and development of architectural color in the Tang Dynasty from the aspects of urban color elements such as built environment,landscape sketches,outdoor advertising and ground pavement.At the same time,in the field research,it is found that the architectural color is lack of transition,the landscape sketch color is lack of uniformity,the outdoor advertising is lack of uniqueness,and the ground pavement is lack of management.In view of the above problems,three principles of inheritance and development of architectural color in the Tang Dynasty in Xi'an urban color are put forward:to continue the historical context and protect the regional characteristics of Xi'an;the whole is in harmony with the part,avoid urban color pollution;obey the functional needs of the city and follow the hierarchical control.On this basis,five strategies for inheritance and development of architectural color in the Tang Dynasty in Xi'an are put forward,that is,to clarify the evolution characteristics of architectural color in the Tang Dynasty and to establish color gene bank.;master the characteristics of different types of buildings and develop color standards;emphasize the functional characteristics of landscape pieces,fixed color collocation.Coordinate the color relationship of outdoor advertising and control the color area;follow the basic functions of the ground pavement and limit the color range.The results of this study are based on the problems in the inheritance and development of the architectural color of the Tang Dynasty in Xi'an.The proposed principles and strategies for the inheritance of color have certain pertinence and operability,which can provide reference for the practical research of urban color planning with regional characteristics in Xi'an.At the same time,this study can also supplement and improve the research system of urban color related to regional traditional culture of Xi'an,and enrich the research results of urban color related to the inheritance and development of regional culture of Xi'an.But this paper is only a stage research,and its maturity and integrity need to be further tested and modified in practice.
