The paper focuses on the current situation and development of red resources in Henan Province, and summarizes the research directions and status of related topics both domestically and internationally through various research methods, including literature review and field research. It highlights the urgent need to address the practical problems of the red resource elements in revolutionary old areas, local landscape elements, and the development of red landscape design in traditional villages. The paper explores the integration of collective memory of red landscapes into the revitalization and development of traditional villages, and formulates appropriate design strategies to address current issues. It applies these strategies to the design practice of red landscapes in Danguai Village, and explores the inheritance and promotion of red resources in traditional villages,as well as the deep-level development model of “old areas, new paths” in revolutionary old areas. The main focus of the paper is on the application of red landscapes under collective memory in traditional villages. It first summarizes and clarifies the development history and current research directions of red resources through literature review, and defines the basic connotations and related expression scale elements of red landscapes.Based on this,it proposes the necessity of introducing red landscapes under collective memory into the development of traditional villages.Next, research will be conducted on the revolutionary old areas in the province and the revolutionary old areas in the city and county areas through online and offline methods to understand the advantages and disadvantages of red resource development at the current stage and to conduct comparative analysis. Then,a questionnaire will be designed to investigate the satisfaction of the red resources in Danguai Village.By organizing and deconstructing the questionnaire data, the behavior and perception of the user group towards the functional space and satisfaction level will be understood.Through field research and questionnaire analysis, the problems of the current red resources in Danguai Village are summarized, including the lack of prominent red landscape, insufficient use of local elements, improper use of landscape narrative, and incomplete service facilities.Subsequently,SPSS will be used to conduct descriptive analysis on the data on the satisfaction of red landscapes in the questionnaire.Through data organization and analysis,it is found that the majority of respondents are not satisfied with the current development of red resources in Danguai Village and hope to incorporate local elements into the creation of the red landscape atmosphere. The needs of different user groups will be analyzed and organized, and then combined with effective demand. In conclusion, this paper uses quantitative research methods to explore the strategies and techniques for extracting collective red memories,as well as the necessity, methods, and design strategies for introducing red landscapes into the development of traditional villages.Based on this, relevant theoretical research designs are provided with reference methods. Finally, for the transformation of red resources in Danguai Village, the following applicable design optimization strategies are proposed: 1)inherit the spirit of redness and continue the overall memory;2)pay attention to diverse participation based on different needs;3)apply local factors to create a fusion environment;4)coordinate spatial combinations and highlight details with care.By using these design strategies to coordinate overall design practices, relevant methods and guidance are proposed to improve the design of traditional village red landscapes, and better promote the inheritance and development of red resources in rural traditional villages.
