| The ability to regulate emotions,as the foundation of mental health,is very important for adolescent college students. The theory of environmental resilience suggests that landscapes have a healing effect on relieving negative states and promoting positive states. On the other hand, college students’ green space activities on campus mainly rely on their behavior of traveling to different destinations, often through visual perception of the landscape. So from a visual perspective, this study conducted experimental and research designs to explore the impact of different types of landscapes on emotional regulation ability.Based on the experimental and research results,a vision based campus landscape optimization strategy was proposed. The experiment is mainly to explore the role of four different types of landscapes(water, lawn, undergrowth and urban street view)in the regulation of positive and negative emotions.A control experiment was designed, and data were collected using the emotion self-assessment table and biofeedback instrument for comparative analysis.Unlike previous research designs, the control experiment in this study is a comparison that eliminates time effects and better reflects the role of the landscape itself.Based on physiological signals and emotional self-assessment experiments,it is shown that the water environment has the best resilience, maintaining positive emotions and alleviating negative emotions;Lawns and urban streetscapes have a certain alleviating effect on negative emotions, but the effect is not as significant as water bodies; The urban streetscape with the worst restoration effect on the understory environment also has a certain healing effect. In terms of self perception recovery, lawn distancing is the highest, while urban street scenery distancing is the lowest; The lawn and understory have the highest ductility; The charm of water bodies is relatively high, followed by understory and lawns, and the charm of urban street scenery is the lowest;Lawns have the highest compatibility, while cities have the lowest compatibility. The purpose of the survey is to explore the map trajectories, favorite relaxation locations, and specific map behaviors that college students often use on campus. The survey is conducted through observation and questionnaires, and the results are analyzed. The campus behavior map of college students shows that the behavior of college students on campus is mainly through destination passing behavior, concentrated around dormitory buildings and teaching buildings;Leisure behavior and sports fitness account for relatively little, and there are overlapping venues.Leisure social behavior is concentrated in the sports field and water features, while sports fitness is concentrated in the sports field. The most commonly chosen campus relaxation places for college students are also sports fields and water features. Finally, this study combines experimental conclusions with research results, and proposes campus landscape optimization strategies to promote emotional regulation among college students based on the main concept of restorative landscape. The entire optimization strategy includes two aspects:(1)to promote long-term visual perception of the landscape, improve interaction between people and the landscape;(2)To promote short-term visual restoration of the landscape and improve the resilience of the road landscape. |
