| In today’s society, residents often experience anxiety due to overwhelming work pressure and fast-paced lifestyles, and they need places where they can release stress and relax. Therefore, this article takes slow walk corridors as the research object and uses methods such as questionnaire surveys, case analysis, and literature research to integrate the spatial elements of slow walk corridors and decompression spaces to construct a therapeutic landscape model under the slow walk corridor system.Specific landscape planning strategies are proposed for the spaces in the model, providing reference and inspiration for similar landscapes. The details are as follows:(1)Through questionnaire surveys, basic information, health status, behavioral habits, therapeutic awareness, and landscape preferences of the respondents were investigated. It was found that children expect gardening activities, young people expect activities such as jogging, chatting, and flower arranging,middle-aged people expect activities such as meditation, exercise, and chatting, and elderly people expect activities such as gardening, walking, and chatting.Through the survey of therapeutic landscape intentions, more than30 types of activities with therapeutic effects were identified. These activities belong to three types of landscapes: scenic landscapes, experiential landscapes, and meditative and reflective landscapes. The most popular therapeutic mental landscape activities among the public include fitness activities, gardening activities, scenic activities, quiet activities, and social activities.(2)Taking actual cases such as the Brilon Healing Park in Germany, the Longhu Yinian Apartment in Chongqing, five nursing homes in Dongying,Shandong, and the High Line Park in New York as examples, the spatial elements of the slow walk corridor and the characteristics of the therapeutic landscape in the cases were studied.Five elements of the slow walk corridor space were extracted: slow walk facilities, open space, closed space, visual boundaries, and green elements. The therapeutic effect is mainly achieved by linking the senses of hearing, smell, taste, sight, and touch, which trigger a whole-body resonance and produce positive therapeutic effects on physical and psychological indicators.(3)By coupling the five elements of the slow walk corridor space with the five elements of therapeutic mental landscape, six spatial models were constructed, including the fitness and exercise space, therapeutic scenic space, meditative leisure space, social activity space, gardening activity space, and therapeutic education space.(4)Strategic creation of six major spaces. The details are as follows:(4)The landscape planning strategies for the six space models are:Fitness and exercise space: create independent space using terrain or plants, use evergreen plants with soothing effects, and choose plastic materials.Healing and viewing space: use artistic techniques such as framing and layering to create visual interest, use aromatic plants for smell, and restore the sounds of nature with bird sounds.Meditation and relaxation space: use hedges or low walls to create a secluded space, use scene replication and time compression to engage all senses and inspire thinking.Social activity space: set up conversation spaces with benches and pergolas, and create immersive landscapes with plants to create a forest oxygen bar.Horticultural activity space: open up cultivation experience areas, with a focus on the operational processes, product usage, and hands-on experience of one growing cycle.Healing and educational space: set up reading gardens and educational corridors to provide participants with information on the production of a particular product in a short period of time.(5)Taking the Siliqu Riverside Park as an example, conducting preliminary on-site surveys and status analysis, and based on the theme of "Environment and Therapy",the site is divided into areas for sports and fitness, social activities, horticultural activities, and meditation and leisure, respectively applying the strategies of "Joy of Movement","Friendship Gathering","Time for Reflection",and "Meditation and Reflection".It is expected that this research will improve the strategies for therapeutic landscape creation and provide effective methodological references for subsequent planning studies. |
