| As a historical imprint,site parks witness the development process of cities,contain historical civilization,and have archaeological value and cultural inheritance value.However,during the research process of the Nanjing Ruins Park,it was found that there were problems in the construction process of the Ruins Park,such as insufficient cultural narrative,lack of spatial aesthetic beauty,and single spatial function.Resulting in the construction of heritage parks falling behind the development of urban modernization,the link between the public and traditional regional space being broken,the public’s demand and recognition for heritage parks being low,and the regional nature of heritage parks being weakened.Therefore,how to convey the cultural space of heritage parks in a narrative manner,so as to achieve the core goal of building a complete heritage park and meet the historical and cultural perception needs of tourists,is an urgent problem that needs to be solved in the current landscape design industry.This study takes Nanjing Ruins Park as the research object,starting from spatial narratology,and based on studying relevant literature and conducting research on the current situation of Ruins Park,the evaluation indicators are determined;Using the mature Analytic Hierarchy Process,Factor Weighting Method,and Expert Scoring Method in the design industry,establish a narrative evaluation model for Nanjing Heritage Park;And determine sample parks through site park census and conduct case studies on them;By using the factor weighting method to calculate the comprehensive evaluation results,based on the evaluation results and research results,an improvement strategy for the narrative design of cultural space is proposed,aiming to protect the site while better conveying its historical and cultural connotations.Firstly,study the theoretical concepts related to site parks and spatial narratives,sort out the current development status and process of the two,analyze their limitations,explore the feasibility and necessity of combining site parks and narratives,and lay a theoretical foundation for the following text.Secondly,evaluation indicators are determined through literature research and the current situation of the site park,and a narrative evaluation model is established using expert scoring and Analytic Hierarchy Process.According to the park census,the Nanjing Dabao’en Temple Site Park,Longjiang Baoshipyard Site Park,and Shitoucheng Site Park were selected as research samples for field research and model`validation.By combining Analytic Hierarchy Process,tourist satisfaction survey,and factor weighting method,calculate the comprehensive score of narrative evaluation of cultural space in heritage parks.The research results indicate that:(1)The historical and cultural background of the site is a key factor affecting the narrative of the cultural space of the site park,and the indicator weight of historical readability is the highest in the criteria layer of the evaluation system.(2)The narrative design of cultural space in Nanjing Heritage Park has common problems in terms of historical readability,cultural legibility,aesthetic perception,spatial pleasure and natural suitability.(3)The narrative route of the site park is closely related to the landscape structure and heritage distribution location within the site park.Finally,the comprehensive evaluation results of the sample parks were compared horizontally at the criterion and indicator levels,summarizing the shortcomings of the site parks.Based on the previous field research,a design strategy for enhancing the narrative of cultural space in Nanjing site parks was proposed from five aspects: history,culture,aesthetics,space,and nature.The specific strategies are as follows:(1)Highlight the readability of the site based on historical background.Technology empowers narrative and shapes multidimensional perception;Activate the image of the site and continue its historical and cultural connotations.(2)Utilize landscape elements to shape cultural readability.Linkage scattered nodes,fully narrate the story of the venue;Quote narrative rhetoric to improve spatial details expression;Establish experiential activities and value cultural interactivity.(3)Optimize aesthetic perception based on humanistic principles.Adhere to the principle of humanism and ensure the comfort of the scene;Using graphic and textual narratives to balance the beauty of spatial viewing;Make good use of material texture to enhance visual coordination.(4)Using overall design to enhance spatial pleasure.Reasonable planning and layout,endowing historical space with multiple functions;Set the storyline and arrange the sequence of narrative space;Increase service facilities and focus on post park maintenance.(5)Shaping ecological landscapes to showcase natural suitability.Create natural landscape and enrich species diversity;Utilize the basic environment to create a historical atmosphere for the park;Positioning the theme of plants to enhance the cultural atmosphere of the landscape.The innovation of the research lies in expanding the scope of the combination of narratology and design.In the past,narrative design was mostly focused on museums and historical blocks.Based on the rich historical and cultural resources of Nanjing,this article explores narrative design in heritage parks,forming a systematic framework for narrative design of heritage cultural spaces.At the same time,qualitative research and quantitative research methods are combined to enrich the categories of research methods.Through field research,literature research,analytic hierarchy process,factor weighting method and Delphi method method,a narrative evaluation system of cultural space of the site park is established.Based on subjective and objective data,a design strategy is proposed to enhance the narrative of cultural space in Nanjing City Heritage Park.This design strategy can promote the sustainable development of Nanjing City Heritage Park in a regional manner. |
