The car wiring harness is known as the neural network of the car,which plays an important role in connecting various parts of the car as a whole.The production process of automotive wiring harness components is relatively mature,but the testing technology for automotive wiring harness is relatively lagging behind.There are various types of automotive wire harnesses and the wires are soft and prone to deformation,making it difficult to obtain a fixed posture,making automated testing difficult.Even customizing a testing equipment for automotive wire harnesses does not have the universality to test other automotive wire harnesses.Therefore,automobile wire harness manufacturers usually use manual testing to cope with various wire harness inspections,but there are significant issues with the accuracy and efficiency of manual testing.In view of the current situation of wiring harness detection application,this paper carries out image-based detection research of automobile wiring harness structure combined with production line on the basis of in-depth research on the types and requirements of front-line wiring harness of automobile wiring harness manufacturers.The main work completed in this paper is summarized as follows:(1)According to actual requirements,the on-line detection scheme of wiring harness structure is developed for assembly line of automobile wiring harness.The combination of on-line inspection equipment and assembly line is realized by PLC.Program the PLC program to complete the flow and action control of image acquisition,on-line detection,wire harness classification and cyclic assembly.(2)Summarize common detection items of automobile wiring harness,design different judgment algorithm according to different characteristics of common detection items,construct model database of automobile wiring harness,design automatic switching detection algorithm based on database,and improve the universality of detection system.(3)Develop vehicle wiring harness detection software with on-line detection equipment and image detection algorithm system,carry out on-line production test,debug the PLC control system,and test the timeliness,accuracy and operational efficiency of the detection system.This paper designs an image-based automotive wire harness structure detection system,which has been used in actual production of wire harness enterprises.The detection system is universal to detect different automotive wire harnesses.According to the results of on-line production test of the detection system,the detection accuracy rate of the detection system reaches 99.40%,the false detection rate is 0.60%,and there is no leakage.Compared with manual test,the detection efficiency of the detection system is improved by 234.63%,which meets the production requirements of enterprises.
