With the development of urbanization,urban traffic problems are becoming more and more serious.For small and medium-sized cities,bus is the most important part of public transport,and the traditional bus priority strategy has been difficult to meet the growing travel demand of small and medium-sized cities.The concept of Maa S(Travel as a service)has brought a new idea for the priority development of public transportation.Bus priority is mainly realized from the two aspects of traffic design and signal control.Based on the concept of Maa S,the transport design related to bus will give more consideration to the travel needs of travelers to improve the quality of public transport service.At the same time,based on the Maa S concept,signal control is more intelligent and convenient,and the optimization of bus signal control can better improve traffic efficiency.The important concepts of Maa S are: travel service keeping up with demand,information supply technology upgrading,integrated travel fast connection.Based on the background of Suqian public transportation in Jiangsu Province,this thesis explores the priority development strategy of public transportation in small and medium-sized cities based on the concept of Maa S.The overall content of this thesis is as follows:First of all,the thesis summarizes the research issues of bus priority,Maa S concept,signal control optimization,bus evaluation system and other articles,summarizes the basic theoretical knowledge,interprets Maa S in broad and narrow sense,puts forward the core concept of Maa S,and analyzes the relationship between Maa S concept and bus priority,providing theoretical support for the design.Then,through the design and distribution of questionnaires,the user data collection and analysis function of Maa S platform was simulated to analyze residents’ preferences and related needs for bus travel.The bus priority system based on Maa S concept is designed,and the existing bus scheduling is optimized.At the same time,we explore the basic mode of integrated bus travel for residents in small and medium-sized cities based on Maa S concept,and the results show that this mode can serve the residents’ travel.Finally,a certain area of Suqian City was selected to carry out field investigation and traffic data investigation,and the optimization design and simulation experiment of signal control were carried out.Three different optimization models were used to optimize the existing schemes,and each optimization scheme was simulated by VISSIM simulation software.Then,based on the concept of Maa S,a bus priority evaluation system was designed and the experimental results were compared.The feasible optimization scheme is obtained,which proves the feasibility of the optimization model in the optimization of bus signal,and the evaluation system can be used as the method of optimization scheme selection to improve the efficiency of the bus in the target area.Through this design,it can provide some reference for the construction of Maa S bus travel platform and urban traffic signal control optimization in small and mediumsized cities.
